I thought it would be a good idea if we had a therad specifically devoted to warning others about any future Limited Edition consoles and / or games that are due to be released... This means that if you are like me, and waiting for a nice LE console / game to come out, you can find out all about it here.

Eg, I would like to be in the know when a new Limited Edition DS or PSP is released.

As most people already know, Perfect Dark Zero (X360) will have two versions ~ A standard version, and a nice Limited Edition version (Presumably in a Halo II type tin)

Likewse, Nintendo have just recently released a pearl white GameCube console in the UK and Europe, alongside Mario Smash Footie ~ May appeal to some people who fancy a change from teh usual Indigo coloured one, or to those who want something to match their iPod...

So, if anyone else has any similar info to submit, then this is the place to do so! :)

Our Perfect Dark Zero is in a metallic cardboard case. No Halo 2/Doom3/SplinterCell3 metal tin.

I heard something about a limited edition DS system which is to be shaped like a coffin, it will COMMEMORATE THE DEMISE OF NINTENDO BEING ALMOST UPON US (http://www.digitpress.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=58725) LOL

You heard about that one Gemini?

Talk about the past coming back to haunt... Who revived that thread anyway?

As far as I know, the Pearl White GameCube will be limited, just as the Resident Evil one is. But then the silver one was at one time limited, and now they seem even more common than the indigo and black variations. That only leaves the Tales Of Symphonia one and the spice orange one as true limited editions...

I am just waiting for Nintendo to release a decent LE DS. The SP has countless LE's, but they seem to be taking their time releasing a decent LE DS. The pink and blue ones don't really count. I am surprised they didn't do anything special for the release of Pokemon Emerald ~ Perhaps the launch of Pearl / Diamond will see the first true LE edition DS's???

As for the PSP ~ I hear they are going to launch a white iPod style one in the new year. Not really my type of thing (After all, who wants to look a prick with a white one that looks like a shitePod?) ~ Not really the Gran Turismo one now is it?

And are Nintendo going to be releasing a GBA Micro in NES / Famicom colours here?

As far as I know, it's just a regular bundle with a normal DS with the game inside the box

Question: Does anyone know if the games bundled with teh DS are full packaged games, or are they cart only? I know Nintendo used to do similar bundles with the GameBoy, GBP / GBC, but the games were always cart only with no proper box for the game...

The Mario Kart bundle comes with a Red DS system.

I don't know about other pack-in games for the DS but the Nintendogs Best Friends version comes with a cardboard sleeve thing, similar to what the Metroid Demo cart came in. I believe the Mario Kart cartridge in the bundle will be the same way.
