First of all i will say this is beyond aweomse when it comes to music games. second of all i will say the last level is a bitch. I can make it to the final part of the last stage with half a bar but i cant get the rhythm pattern down at all and its driving me mad. can anyone give me hints. i've been at it for a little over an hour

PS, my thumb is sore from those guard modes @_@

I just got this game yesterday, actually. Because of the reprint, its fairly easy to get ahold of now for a decent price, so I went for it. I only played to the robots in space level because I had more pressing issues to attend to, but I'll play though it within the next couple of days.

i beat the last stage finally. i was surpised when i picked it up again tody i beat it in one shot. I was hanging by the skin of my teah at the very end but i whoo[ed him something fierce hehe. Now after trying Masters play for the first level i realize i still need much practice but that will be another day, i have more games to concur.

Congrats! I beat the japanese version a while back (got it free off a friend). Its one of my all time favourite games.

My friend also gave me a japanese 'gitaroo man' preview edition (which comes complete in a dvd case with manual and some stickers). Anyone know whats the story behind this and what its worth?

I was only able to finish this game with the help of a friend who's got much better reaction time than myself. He couldn't do the charge modes (which he left to me) but he could hit the shape buttons really fast, which is when I passed it off to him.

The things you can do with teamwork.

Gitaroo-man is easily one of the greatest music games ever created. If you liked it, you should check out the import-only DS game Ossu! Tatakae! Ouendan, which is created by the same development team, and as crazy as it may sound, is an even better game, IMO. :D

Well, I played through it tonight. It isn't a very hard game, and I beat the last level on my first try. Still a very good game, I just wish it were longer.

Have you beaten Master Mode? If not, get back to the game; it's a whole new challenge.
Players have been stuck for months to almost years on songs of that mode.

Has anyone here actually beaten Master Mode? I've never heard of anyone beating it. Currently I'm stuck on the Sanbone Trio on Master's; it took me several weeks per to be able to beat the second, third, and fourth levels on Master's (although levels one, five, and six were pretty easy).

I don't have the game itself, but I do have a demo of the game that came with an old magazine. I can't even beat the demo level on EASY mode. That thing was friggin' hard for me, and believe me, I tried for like two hours to beat it. Damn you, Mojo King Bee, for taunting me.

i figured instead of making another thread i'd continue in this one. All i have to say is level 3 on master play is completely and utterly sick. has anyone else gotten this far and does anyone have tips?

I've yet to play gitaroo man, actually never heard of it until I bought and played guitar hero. Anyone out here ever play both? How do they compare to one another music wise, difficulty, length? I'm just wondering if gitaroo man is a must have game and should be worth searching out and buying.

My best advice is to just stick with it. I tended to do the best on the fifth or sixth try of the day, and I played it pretty much every day for about a month before I finally beat the Mojo King Bee stage on Master's. And if you think that stage is hard, wait until you see stage four, that all-dodge stage with the shark. It's insane. And not to draw this post out longer than it needs to be, but if you think the fourth stage is hard, wait until you get to the Sanbone Trio stage, which might just be impossible. I've never heard of anyone beating it, anyway.

I've been stuck at Stage 3 on Master Mode for over 2 years now. My younger brother, however, has beaten Master Mode. The San Bone Trio level is a bitch.

EDIT: Here's a pic of my brother's turn:

He did the "Stage 4 cheat" after he learned it. He beat them legally before doing it (I was there for both).

I'm impressed. Is your little brother God, by chance? (And if so, what does that make you?)
