I was looking at the online rarity guide and noticed a bunch of games for handhelds? what exactly is the handheld. becuse im guessing its not the same as gameboy. thanks for any info

Gameboy,DS,PSP,Game Gear,Neo Geo,Game & Watch,Lynx, you name it there systems that are portable.

Pretty much the onlythings that don't qualify as Handhelds are cellphones and PDAs.

Well N-Gadge is a cell phone and a handheld right,well yea add that in there maybe.

It's because it's a dedicated gaming system that it counts as a handheld.

Don't forget the Game.coms.
Other less-famous handhelds are the Gizmondo, GP32, GP2X, XGP... WonderSwans (original, color and crystal). Oh, yeah, and the PcketStation.

You are correct. Handhelds in this case refers to LCD games that do not accept carts. They are lumped together as Handhelds for convenience.
Handhelds which accept carts are generally listed by their name.

thanks neuropolitique, you cleard that up a bit. but to just make surre, anything listed as the system being handheld is not an actual system but comes as a seperate game on a handheld that can only play that game correct? sorry to be redundant but thanks.
