Neighbor brings Sega Genesis

My dad and I were playing Katamari and the phone rings. My neighbor lady had a Sega Genesis system. She wanted to see if Sonic 2 was working and was wondering if I would like to test it out. I told her to bring it over and it would be enjoyable to test out the system.
She brings over a Sega Genesis box with a bag of games. I mentioned the excellent condition of it as she walked in. The games she brought over were Sonic 1, 2 and Sworld of Vermillion. The games were all in boxes with their manuals. The exciting part was that the hint book for Sword of Vermillin came in mint condition. I have never seen this before! All the games tested out fine and worked absolutely great.
If she ever wanted to sell the system, I gave her an estimate of $150 for everything

Sword of Vermillion is not worth $30. Unless you're in the market for a copy- then I could hook you up. :P

If it were me I would of told her about 15-20 dollars and offered to buy it from her, or if she was nice she would of just given it to you since you are into gaming...

is there a story as to how she got it? i'd be pissed off if i was the son or daughter who found out mom sold my genny on me while i was away.....

Even during the holidays, A boxed system is not worth half of that. The sword of Vermillion mini strat guide actually came bundled with the game(I remember seeing it and owned a copy myself) If you do a quick search on ebay, Genesis stuff, minus the rare rare stuff, is not worth anything.

Well, the hint book is worth $20 in my opinion...somewhat tough to find nowadays. Plus, oldschool RPG books are cool in their own right.

Depending on condition, I'd pay any where from $30 to $50 :D
