Excuse my retardedness. LOL
Im looking to connect my pc to my Xbox 360, so I can use media connect and Xbox Live.
My pc is wirelessly connected to the internet.
I have downloaded Media Connect and Service Pack 2.
What do I need to do this?
Can I just use a cross over ethernet to connect the Xbox 360 to the PC? Would that cable let me use media connect and Xbox Live? Ive searched Xbox.com and a few other sites with no real concrete information.
Thanks for the help!

You can do it by turning on Internet Connection Sharing under the advanced tab, and then manually assigning IPs and DNSs numbers on the 360. I that's how I have my 360 setup. If you need more help I can hop on later, but its time to goto work. =(

Technically that should work. The good news is that crossover cables are easy to make or cheap to buy to test it. I have mine all set up with a router and switch so i don't have a crossover cable made to test the idea.

Thanks for the help guys!
It looks like reading info on xbox.com that i wont need a router, switch or anything else to connect my xbox and pc, just an ethernet cable. Anyone else have this set up?

Yeah, all you will need is a ethernet cable and then turn on Internet Connection Sharing. Enter the follwing adresses manually in the 360:
IP 192.168.0.2
Sub 255.255.255.0
Def gate 192.168.0.1
DNS 192.168.0.1
That should work...that's how I have my setup hooked up.
USB Cable Modem -> PC -> ethernet to 360

I just tried it bypassing my router. It seems to work, which tells me the 360 has a built in switch or something.
