2-in-1 GBA games: rare? [Archive] - Retrogaming Roundtable

Although this has really nothing to do with classic gaming, [it's the fricken' GBA, for goodness sakes], but are the two-in-one games for the Game Boy Advance (those disney/nickelodeon games seem to have them) more rare than the original versions? Sorry, can't provide a pic :/

nope- not in the least bit, one exception being the castlevania 2 pack

That's not scheduled to ship until January, so it's a little early to call it an exception.

In general, the games on the 2 in 1 carts have been around for a while and were good sellers on their own (yes, even the crappy Majesco games), so the 2 in 1's will most likely have smaller runs then the single carts. But since their the rage right now, they all seem to be pretty plentiful at the moment.

Not really, they're all over the place and there are so many of them. I'd rather pay half price for a used copy of one of the games then full price when I normally don't want one of the games anyway

I think they'll wind up like the PlayStation collector's editions - it'll be easy to find the games, but it'll be a bitch to find everything complete on the used market.

and let's not forget the Sonic 2 pack...It's right behind that one

The Sonic 2 in 1 only started shipping less then two weeks ago and most stores haven't received it yet. Very premature to think of it as a rarity.

The Sonic 2 in 1 only started shipping less then two weeks ago and most stores haven't received it yet. Very premature to think of it as a rarity.

Just like it is to think about Castlevania 2 in 1 pack, when it's not even released yet, don't ya think?

According to many sources, namely gamestop.com, CastleVania Dungeon, EB Games etc.

Around the 2nd week of January, they are going to re-release CastleVania Harmony of Disonnance and CastleVania Aria of Sorrow for GBA in one cart...
