No more 360's shipped 'till after christmas? [Archive]

Don't know if this is B.S. not, but this was what I was told. I went to Gamerush today to buy some games. I asked the guy working if they got in any new shipments of 360 systems in. He said that they were originally told that they'll be receiving new shipments every week after launch, but now they've been told that no more will be shipped out until after christmas. If he meant just at Blockbuster or all retail stores in general, I don't know. Kind of makes sense though considering all the problems I've been hearing people are having with their launch systems. Maybe Microsoft wants to hold off sending any more out until the can fix what's wrong.

Anyone know what's going on with the 360's? It's been a little over a week since launch. Have any stores received new shipments since then?

Currently out here in AZ, we are getting in one more 100% confirmed shipment before Xmas. It's probably only going to be about 25 - 30 systems, and they'll be gone quicker than the first time I'm sure. Rumors are: they'll be arriving by the 16th =\.

Also, if youre an AZ resident and dying to find one, check out Chandler's Costco. They're having a grand opening and they've had 72 systems held for their first day. Apparently they're expecting a large amount of people, so it may be something to get there very early for ;D.

I work at a Best Buy distribution center and I've yet to see anymore since the launch batch. I've been keeping an eye out everyday.

Well on my local news , there was a Press Release from Microsoft saying that more machines are coming to try to satisfy the pre-christmas demand. They are suppose to be arriving next week from what the press release said.

Of course, there is no link on http://www.kare11.com but it was on the 10pm news a couple days ago.

I don't get it... why would Microsoft be saying that they won't be shipping anymore until after March... wouldn't they want to be shipping as many as humanly possible to make as much money as possible, ESPECIALLY during the Christmas rush??

Anyways, I call BS on them anyways. At Zellers, we got 12 more of the premium bundles in 3 or 4 days after launch day. Then yesterday we got another dozen in.

I don't know why they are saying they aren't shipping anymore, we've been getting them here... :/

I will be checking the stores this upcoming week. I heard from several local sources that the 16th is the day alot of places here are stocking more. (we'll see)

Yeah, I'm looking for a couple of my friends too. I may end up buying them just to make sure they get them.
