lol well that's Japan, they hate the Xbox almost as much as I do. And most of the votes for Xbox and 360 were probably from foreign attendees :P

So, take the results with a grain of salt .. will be interesting to see how Japan treats the 360.

Agreed, I was more surprised with the percentage of Dreamcast owners.

Whoa I must've been up to late talking to Amy Rose because i swear my eyes are playing tricks on me. 11.0% own Xboxs? There must've been a lot of DOA fans in the house.

Ah, I can think of a few reasons, but I think Sega has a much larger following in Japan than Microsoft does. Especially considering the madness any Virtua Fighter release generates over there, and I believe Shenmue did quite well also.

Hah yeah im sure that DOA was responible for at LEAST 90% of those sales on Xbox.

Yep, I'll give credit where it's due, the Xbox DOA was outstanding. I was a massive fan of Tekken 1-3, but had a lot more fun messing around with DOA at a friends than I ever did with Tekken 4 or 5. Maybe I just burnt out on Tekken.

I remember burning out on SF .. these are ones I heavily played :

SF2
SF2:CE
SF2:Turbo
SSF2

By the time the SFA and VS series came along, I was pretty much done with it. Pocket Fighter is amazing though :D

The 360 DOA title is their best bet at securing a foothold in the Japanese marketplace.

Ah good for you son. DOA is a fun fighting series not a serious, arrogant, "i plan my moves down to the frame of animation" fighting series.

actually DOA3 is the number 1 selling game for the xbox in Japan, ironically not a 360 backwards compatible game no doubt to force-feed doa4 down people's throats.
