WOW, this game is amazing! I'm gonna have to get a 4 in 1 cart soon, so I can see how cool it looks with the extra animations. Hard to imagine that it could look any better.
It's pretty hard too, even on the easiest level. I got all the way through it with the first pilot and the first mech, but it took me several continues to do it. The bosses are mean!
I can hardly wait to get through it with all the other pilots and all the other mechs. That should keep me busy for a long time. This is the best robot fighting game ever made!
I couldn't afford to get the limited edition version yet, but the regular edition is good enough to play while I save up for it. Not sure if I really wanna spend that much though.
Anyway, this game is really cool if you've never played it before. It's way better than any other robot fighter that I've ever played, and I'm pretty sure I've played them all.
YAY Capcom! You've done it again! Cyberbots kicks robot ass! Too bad it never got translated. I'd love to know what the storyline for it is. Looks like it has alot of dialog in it!

Heh, I was just talking to somebody about this an hour ago (as the only example of a Japanese game I own which actually came with a book - the topic was games that were released in special editions that actually had art books and behind-the-scenes stuff, etc.) The LE is nice for the book, but come to think of it I don't believe it comes with the cart.
Probably paid too much for this game, myself, by the way. $80 for a new copy, which I opened because I thought the shrink wasn't original LOL Ah well, it was worth it for I looked through the included book. :D
Huge box, a bit bigger in length and width than a Neo Geo cart case, but a bit shallower across the spine.

The ability to play Cyberbots is insignificant compared to the power of VirtualOn + a TwinStick. LOL Cyberbots is still an awesome game though. :)

Well, I still don't have Virtual On or a twin stick yet, so this is the next best thing. I think the next robot game that I get is gonna be Bulk Slash though. I've been wanting it for a while now. I was gonna buy it a few months ago, but I ran short on cash and had to put it off until later. It isn't terribly cheap for a new copy either. About $80 - $90 or so. That's not a bad price for a new copy of Cyberbots LE though. The cheapest one I've seen so far is $140 with shipping. That's why I went ahead and just got the regular version for now. It was only $40 shipped for a new copy.

I've actually seen a few TwinStick + Cyber Troopers VirtualOn bundles located in the US on eBay recently for about $50 - $60 shipped. In fact last month I picked up a complete TwinStick and complete US release of VirtualOn for $58 after shipping. Of course the Saturn TwinStick can be used with a grand total of two games LOL - both the Saturn and Dreamcast (with a converter) versions of VirtualOn, whereas the DC TwinStick only works on the DC. Technically I guess you could totally retrofit the controller to work on the PS2 but VirtualOn Marz sucked. LOL

Cyberbots came out in US arcades... so I guess you can get the "story" there. It's possible to get the LE box Cyberbots set for as little as $20-25 USD shipped... But yeah it's too bad the game didn't get much attention in the arcades/consoles. It's a pretty good game in it's own right. But then again, darkstalkers didn't get much love in the US and I think that series is brilliant.
Virtua Sticks boxed complete can be had for as little as $20-25 USD shipped. The saturn version of virtua on is also dirt cheap.
