Hmm. Easy enough to google the release date (it was November 15, supposedly), but has anybody SEEN this game anywhere at all? All I see on eBay are four imports.

Dec. 14 from Gamestop. However, they couldn't even take a rservation because they didn't know if they were getting any copies. I'm going to pick it up the minute I see it.

Strange. IGN specifically said November 15th for us US release (Google search "Border Down" "release date," simple enough huh?) but it's not out.

That said, phew, helped allay some concerns I had. I was starting to worry I'd missed out.

In reagards to GameStop and the game, you cant even pre-purchase one off gamestop.com. It comes up with some funky error about some of the personal data i've entered was wrong, and the 7 times over 3 days I did it, it was never wrong. (It gave me the BS either your address or something to do with your CC info was wrong, which was in fact EVERYTHING I had entered in the first place.)

I don't think it's been cancelled. Certain games are so beneath the radar that they aren't given a reserve sku. If you want to reserve the title, it has to be entered as a generic sku at the store, and even then you are not sure to get it. I'm not even sure if every store would be willing to do it since they can't promise you anything. It's too bad since reserves would let the companies know that there is interest in this title from the hardcore.

simple, ask them, if its in their system, then they WILL get at least ONE in, ask them to reserve it, by doing a generic reserve, all that means is you won;t get a call from AERIS, from gamestop... they will still hold that ONE copy for you when they get it.. thats all.. I do it all the time at my gamestop.

That's not necessarily true. It depends on if the store you reserve at is a 'C' title store. Pretty much no 'C' title game gets a reserve sku at Gamestop, and they're only sent to those stores that either do a ton of business or are on the list to receive those games. Those 'C' titles are games that usually fly under the radar or ones that are released as budget titles.

That's why some stores got games like Technic Beat for PS2 when others didn't.

I preordered this from EB a couple of days ago.

The real game, not a generic sku. The problem is that the game wasn't even listed on the "new releases" screen. I had to manually look up the sku through the inventory search screen, and manually punch in the sku through the reserve screen.

I definitely bypassed some of EB's apparant safeguards here, but I am aware that it may never likely show.

Yeah you should try again, I had tried several times to reserve this game at Game Stop with no success but I went back this past sunday and now I was able to reserve it.

snagged mine at gamestop, p-re-ordered it a few days ago. apparently i got the only copy that the store received.

was pretty excited.... got it home, popped it in.... kinda disappointed. ship controls are sluggish, there are too many weapons available to use from the onset, and the levels are split into 3 boss battles each. not what i was expecting.

i do however expect the game to be at least somewhat rare, so.... not a total loss i suppose.

I ended up reading some reviews a few days ago...eh, I'm no longer really excited about the game. I'll get it if I can find it cheap someday, but there are too many other titles I can pick up cheaply on the GC for this to be a wise purchase at the moment. There's also a good number of other, better shooters that I should get first.

There are three game crazy's in the nothern virginia area. One in Manassas in the shopping center where Kmart is, one across the street from Potomac Mills Mall, and the last one is located a few miles past FT Belvior.

It's not a bad shooter, but it's definitely not as good as some of the other releases this year.

It is, however, hard as hell, the music is FANTASTIC, and I like the whole order-chaos concept, which is really cool.
