So, I recently picked up a Vectrex for kicks and left it on the coffee table. Surprisingly, it's been quite the hit with various friends who otherwise wouldn't be interested in classic gaming at all. I guess there's something very different about playing a vintage system on its own screen (with vector graphics!) as opposed to on the big screen TV.
At any rate, I was adding the system to my personal collection on the DP online database, and realized that my system is a Milton Bradley system (not GCE.) The DP guide lists it at R8, however, my system is a 110V model and not a 220V as listed in the guide.
The machine has "Milton Bradley Canada" on the back (as the manufacturer) The model number is 3000-C1 and was made in Hong Kong. The startup screen simply says "Vectrex" and nothing else.
I've done some searching on the DP forums, and it appears that the Canadian Vectrex doesn't have the Mine Storm 'Level 13' bug present in any of the other models.
I'm curious about the rarity of this item. Should I consider it to be as rare as the GCE model, or are Canadian Vectrex machines more or less hard to come by as the European version? At any rate, the Canadian version isn't listed in the guide, so I thought I'd ask about it here.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated :)
