I'm buying 4 (or possibly 6) of these for my game room. I'm going to figure out some way to backlight them while they're on the wall. What do remember looking really cool lit up in the dark arcades of the past?

Moving to arcade alley...

FWIW, pretty much EVERY marquee looks cool when backlit. I'd say pick your favorite games, then choose 4 or 5 based on availabilty and price. :)

If all else fails, this method (http://www.digitpress.com/archives/invadingspaces_marquees.htm) is still working just fine in my game room. :D
As far as the coolest looking marquees: if money is no object, Discs Of Tron wins, hands down. It's lenticular, so when you move relative to the marquee, its background appears to move in 3-D to a certain degree. It's a beautiful piece, one of my absolute favorites.
Anything with a lot of black or deep blue is very cool - Robotron, Defender, Joust, Asteroids, Star Trek (another hard one to find, as you're fighting not only gamers and restorationists, but Star Trek fans as well), Qix, Space Odyssey, Journey, Star Wars, Pac-Man Plus, and so on.
Beware of fakes and reprints. Unless you just don't care. Often these are just Mylar sheets without the plexiglas or glass to adhere to. So you think you've gotten a steal, but no! Now you have to go buy glass and have it custom-cut...better off to just get an original. I like the idea that I'm preserving a piece of history, a little bit of my childhood.

Toobin' of course. But you would need the wheel and such.
