Ok well early this year I got Snatcher for Sega CD for $4 so that was pretty good...but I like these better. :)

So I got all of this for a total of $50. I have no idea where the guy got it, he said it was just nintendo junk and accessories...I saw the few test carts and bought it immediately.

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a140/Docman217/WEEKEND%20FINDS/TestCartslot1002.jpg

So my question with this is two fold. One LOOK AT THE NES CART...it is gray, I thought the only gray cart was the NTF-2. Secondly, Look at the one SNES cart it has purple writing...somthing I have never seen on another test cart, or for that matter another test cart labeled like this one is. And a final question What are those black round things in the accessory pile I have no clue. What I do know is there are 4 original gameboy screens, 3 Pocket screens, 3 Color screens, 2 replacement power buttons, a game genie (not pictured), 10 toaster NES flaps, 2 SNES internal port casings, and those black circles which I have no clue on.

My second find in the same day almost made me cry. 16 N64 demos and an N64 w/ 2 controllers!! I will hold off on saying the price as I am going to sell some of the games. SO HERE IS A PIC!!

So Please take a look...enjoy. And help me sort this out a bit...tell me what you all think!!

Nice haul, I might have had a heart attack had I come across those N64 demos, so I'm guessing these are going up for sale sometime? :D

I believe that the black things in the accessory pile are N64 feet. Anyway, I can't remember the last time I was so jealous. Nice find.

I almost forgot. There was someone offering $100 for a Diddy Kong NFR cart in the B&S forums very recently. They aren't all worth that much though. Besides the zelda ones, most can be had for less than $20 on ebay.

So these Test Carts, I assume they just run a system check to make sure that the console is working fine, and the pads/buttons are working fine, yes? Any screens of one in action, please?

Wow!!! What an awesome find! You suck!! How do you know those N64 games are demo carts? Also, like the post above me says what do the test carts do? And do you have any pictures of one in action? :)

They all have a little rectangle that says 'Not For Resale' on them. You can only see them on the bottom couple, but they all look the same anyways.

But yeah, awesome find.

Nice haul man. I have a crapload of similar stuff that I picked when I bought out a couple of authorized Nintendo repair centers...bunch of console parts for NES, SNES, and N64, PC Boards for all three systems, sound processors, controller parts, and even some brand new console shells for all three.

Anyway...nice haul.

As well as a "Property of Nintendo, STORE # ______" sticker on the back of each. Not sure if that's EXACTLY what it says as I sold my N64 kiosk carts years ago.

Hard to say really...have seen them go for as little as $50 not listed very well and as much as $400 - $500+. Just depends on the time when you are trying to sell one I suppose. Seems like most go in the $200 - $300 range.

Hey icarwngs can you tell me does the WWF game have a not for resale on the front or is it sort of akin to how Mario Party is?

icarwngs55
01-06-2006, 07:33 PM
Nope. Mario Party 1 and WWF were simply kiosk carts with "Demo: Not for resale" sticker on the back. They never had true kiosk carts with "not for resale" on the front. I looked into it alot and it seems stickers were as close as you could get to a real demo cart.

ok dumb question, but, Why was the Zelda in gold? I have a N64 Zelda game in the gold instead of gray and I was wondering what the deal was with it and if it has any extra value to it.

icarwngs55
01-11-2006, 12:19 PM
The first releases of the Zelda Games were in gold for the N64. Later ones were grey. That is the only difference. Value of Grey may even be less (not as limited?)

thanks. I wasn't sure if it was more of a collectors item or not. I'm still new to this kind of thing, so I'm working my way through things.
