I read about this import game in Tips and Tricks magazine. It says the game features a blue bird named Max who is your language guide kind of. You can translate English to Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. You can also translate Korean, Japanese, and Chinese to English, the opposite way around. There are also language fluency and pronunciation tests. You translate to the languages by speaking to a microphone on top of the PSP. Tips and Tricks is not sure if this will come to the States so get this game now from Lik-Sang or another import site.

P.S. The bird does look like Big Bird LOL

I really hope this comes to North America, it could break many language barriers and solve translating problems.

That sounds really cool...definitely innovative, something this industry will never stop needing. Hmm, could become a new genre...translations games.

Would be a great idea for spy games.

I'll buy it if it's fun.

It's nice that Sony made the PSP be able to play all region games, I'm thinking about getting it (The game that is, I have a PSP).

I'm interested in this application. I've always wanted to learn Japanese but never had the time. It would rock if I could learn the foundations of the language via the PSP. Anybody have the white PSP? I'm thinking about getting it. It's only $9 more than the regular PSP at Lik Sang.

Nintendo also announced. Perhaps as an answer to the PSP's Talkman, Nintendo will be releasing Tabi no Yubisashi Kaiwacho DS, an adaptation of a series of travel books. Developed by Tosse conjunction with the series' print publisher, the DS versions will allow users to search for words and phrases and have them translated to different languages, all making good use of the system's touch pen and dual screens. Nintendo plans on releasing five entries, one each for Korea, Thailand, China, Germany and America, with a Japanese release is planned for March.
