Apparently, There is going to be a PSP Expert at my "local" EBGames store. This may be the same for many other EBGames stores, And possibly Gamestops.

If you want to find out more about it, Why not stop by at EBGames?

Remember, Saturday only (Unless i heard it wrong) So, check your calendars.. Saturday, 12/10/05.

Okay......a few questions...

PSP expert?

Why would we want to see this guy anyway?

What does he know that we don't?

Be sure to ask if it's true that early PSP models eject UMD's like projectile weapons

Translation - A Sony Sales Rep will be there to try convince you to buy a PSP

Wow, I should see if there will be one over at the eb games in my area, and I hope there are a bunch of kids around. I have never been the "stop asking questions" guy and I think it would be fun.

Just in case you guys don't know what that is, it is the guy where I will go there and the rep will be thinking "SH#$! Stop asking questions!"

I know I could get him to quit asking questions, of course, by doing the easy way out and keep comparing it to ds. He will have graphics on me so I can't go that route. He will also have the umd thing on me, but I can do a work around for that. Man, I am getting excited, I really hope he is there.

If he is there, I will post again so that some of you guys can post some questions for me to ask him.

Sounds fun. Hope to hear what happens if he is there.

All Nintendo has to do is release the Sim Card reader that was launched in Japan and you would have every feature the PSP has, except, I dunno...loading?

Truth be told, the PSP expert is most likley a EB employee, with assistance from a Sony rep of they actually make it to the stores.

I tell you this. I would not want to be said person in a mall store right now.

I would just tell people to buy a PSX, LOL

*Ignoring some of the replies*

Well, i went to EB,. First, i played Twisted Metal with him. (There were two PSPs) After i was done playing Twisted Metal with him, He gave me a PSP Keychain. Then i asked him some questions about the PSP.

Will emulators run on a 2.0 PSP? What type of screen does the PSP use? What games do you suggest?

The answers go in order of the questions:

Emulators run on 2.0 PSPs.

PSP uses a Liquid Crystal Display Screen.

GTA LCS, Smart Bomb, Mercury, Midnight Club 3.

After i was done playing Twisted Metal with him, He gave me a PSP Keychain.

It was worth going to.

Yes some emulators will run on Version 2.00. some were designed around itbut you may not be able to play all homebrews and some emulators. 2.01 and up don't work for anything of the sort.

Huh. Maybe some of the bigger stores in the bigger cities had Sony sales reps. I was the "PSP Expert" for my store. Thing is just a big push to get people possibly thinking about getting a PSP. It helps if you have a dedicated associate person on floor hyping it up. The PSP sales figures aren't just for today, but until Christmas, I think. So there will probably be more PSP days like this.

One wearing a PSP hat and PSP t-shirt giving out PSP pens/keychains/lanyards and the like. Answering questions and being all knowledgeable and the like. I dunno know, maybe some focus group said they had PSP questions but were intimidated or "uneasy" around the PSP. Even with the demo unit, having a stooge run around showing off the movies and games helps?

BAH. I got a PSP hat out of it. No one wanted the t-shirt, so I took that, too.

Final thought!! I asked the Sony rep about three months back why the PSP Value Pack was called that, when there wasn't a non-value pack to compare it too. She had no answer. Also, we have a new Sony rep now. A nicer one that knew my name (and it wasn't from my name badge, I swear).

Yeah, I was going to say from the answers the guy got there was no way that wa a sony rep. They probably would not talk about emulators, probably depends though. And if you ask for recommended games they would be Medievel, Sony Title #2, and Sony Title #3.

It would be cool if they replaced the retards that work at the 2 EBs near my house with this guy...or a robot.
