My local pawn shop had their "30% off everything" banner up again, so I got this little lot:

PS2 NFS Underground (original pressing), $AUS17.50 (but the bastard doesn't work - evil scratches)
PS2 Ferrari F355, $AUS14
PS2 SSX 3 (original pressing), $AUS14
and a Rollins Band album for $AUS7

Good times.

not finds per se, but my warranty replacement mice from Microsoft and Logitech came in over the week and I finally got them hooked up.

Logitech MX518 (replacing a MX500 who's buttons went to shit after a year of use and abuse)
Microsoft Intellimouse Explorer v 4.0 (replacing an original Microsoft Intellieye Explorer with a faulty USB cable, which has to be one of the most comfortable mouse designs I've ever used)

On a tangent, I'd have to give Microsoft the nod on their quality of service on this one. They shipped me the new mouse via DHL, it got lost in the post, so they shipped me another one via 2 day air and it got here no problem. Logitech took about 4 weeks and required me to send back my MX500, so I was stuck with the Intellieye w/ messed up USB cable until the replacements came in :(

Oh, and I also got a Monster Xbox Component cable sent from Monster's warranty department (the old one I had had a nonfunctional red line). I know Monster has some seriously overpriced cables, but for the price I paid for the original cable ($20) and the speed of their warranty service (~week), I'd say it all evened out :)

edit - Just picked up some PS2 goodies at a buy 2 get 1 free at the BX today.
Friends: The One With All The Trivia ($20)
Flipnic ($10)
Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (Free)

I got a Marvel Team Up issue #48 in crappy condition for only a quarter. It's a comic, but it features Spider-Man and Iron Man, which is 2/3 of my Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 team. It's a long shot, but still gaming. I also got Sword of Vermilion cart only for $5 from Game Crazy.

Good day for me.

I was in State College, visitiing a friend... stopped at the EB, not expecting much but...

Final Fantasy II and III, complete, and still 50% off so... $26.

I thought it was alright. Sad as it might be, it's possibly my 2nd best find after, of course, complete Dragon Warrior 3 and 4 for 2 bucks apiece a few years back.

Scavenger day at the flea Market..Crowded= fighting, jumping over snow, ice, water cold nastiness.. utter craziness there today..Parking was detoured to a far lot then later if you waited you could park your car right in where the vendors were..this way great for piling up stuff in the car..
I have a Cold but that didn't keep me from the hunt..
First thing I found was a brand new-with paperwork inside dual on stand Gumball machine..the strong outside store type...$25.00 but I passed it up due to no where to put it.

VCR's,TV's,DVD players sitting in inches of water..Sure I'll buy that..

Vendors were coming in all morning packing out...We hung around waiting for a specific vendor to show.
We walk around then He shows and unloads real fast...as my dad is buying something from him I spot this load of SNES/NES stuff at the end of his tarp..
Whoa!!...I snag the whole lot for $70.00 his asking price while other people are still asking prices for it/looking through it..
I had to then hover-guard over it while a bag was brought over..(he was the only vendor with anything in games worthwhile due to weather)
After my dad finishes buying a few things from him he was so happy he charges me only $50.00 for the lot..WOOT!!
Picked up the Left NES with PS & 4 player... for $10.00...

3 NES pads and two TV switches for $7.00

Everything else gamewise $50.00..(MOST going on Ebay)
Several of these games I don't own..
The best ones I feel would be SNES Super Metroid/DKCountry 3,Strike Gunner STG.......... Mega Man X(not shown)

Yeah, at the EB by the Wal Mart, not the one in the Nittany Mall. I left around August for grad school but they had some NES stock then... figured I'd stop by for shits and giggles. They were on the shelf by themselves with about 4 Dreamcast games and an assload of common N64 games. Can't say how long they'd been there... the guy working didn't even realize they had SNES games. :)

So immediately I called my friend on the cell to gloat since he also collects... "You haven't stopped by the EB for a while, have you?" :D

I picked up a mint boxed, NES system with 13 NES games all mint, boxed, and the same guy had a Sega Master System PERFECTLY mint and boxed, the guy said that by the time that he had gotten the SMS when he was younger, he didn't care anymore, played it once.
Everything, I mean everything, is still wrapped in it's original bags. Everything is virging on new.

The only semi-downer is that only one of the games has an instruction booklet. Oh well, 50$ canadian is what it cost me.
(Actually we agreed upon a price tag of 40$, but when I finally saw him pull this stuff out from the trunk of his car, I was so impressed and overcome that I paid him an extra 10 bucks.)

Oh the NES games were: Zelda II, Popeye, Balloon Fight, Jackal, The Guardian Legend, Super Mario Bros., Kung Fu, Bubble Bobble(!), Adventure Island, Guantlet, Ghosts 'N Goblins, Galaga, and Kid Icarus.

I played them all on the NES the guy gave me, no blinking on any of them. This stuff is like brand-new.

It's what I call a NES Party Controller.(Son calls it the "Prize" controller...It has a Birthday Party sticker over the front..
I have a few of these..I've never tried to remove the sticker.
But the vendor that sold me the three loose NES controllers had one NES controller that he attempted to pull off this sticker,it had all sticky residue on it and another controller just like this one.
I passed on them..

There was an old topic somewhere here explaining about these controllers that I can't find..

That 'party controller' was a sticker template that came with old Nintendo Power mags in the early 90's.

On a search for the Schmitt Music warehouse piano sale (wife ended up buying a $4000+ Kawai, that takes care of my Xmas shopping!) I stopped at the Brooklyn Center GameStop.

They had some PS games toward the back:

Diablo x3
Persona2 x2
Rhapsody X2 IIRC

I didnt buy any- more of a heads-up for local members.

Looked virtually unused for $89.95. A little higher than the DP Guide, but it was worth it to me. :-P
