Hello all,

I have a Game Gear that has served me well since I got it at launch...

But, alas, it is getting old, and the display is growing dim and the screen is becoming scuffed and scratched.

What is a good price for a brand new Game Gear?

Thanks,
doogy
Matthew

*edit* PS. Why isn't my signature being displayed?!

Wouldn't pay more than $5. Now, if had it a decent amount of games, then you could probably get up to $50 :D

You have to buy it with meseta earned. I think it costs around 300 meseta. Keep posting and you'll get it in no time.

$50 could get you...hmm...just about a complete collection I'd think LOL Better have some boxed games for that much!

Personally, a GG + 6 or so games shouldn't run more than $10. Seriously. I paid something like $30 for two GGs recently, that both came with their adapters, a bunch of carts, and a Wide Gear (DEFINITELY get a Wide Gear if you haven't already).

You need to buy your sig in the shop.

As for the price of a GG, I'd pay a tenner for a loose one in real nice condition with a good screen. Even Gamestation have them for £20. So about $15-30ish then.

Gamegears are cool, even moreso now the guys at SMSPower have perfected the GG-TV. I remember having one years ago with Castle of Illusion, GG Shinobi, Sonic and a dodgy HK pirate cart I never used, that contained 9 glitchy games (Monaco GP, Wonderboy, Columns etc..) that you changed via a dodgy purple button on the cart.

LOL, I already have a decent amount of games and I can pick more up... But I'm talking about a Game Gear in BRAND NEW condition... sealed... or perfect with no scratches at all... in box...

How much?

$15 - $25 max for a Game Gear in good shape. $10 max for a Majesco. Don't buy a Majesco...

Yeah, you want one that has coloured ovals in the GG logo on the left of the screen. If not, its a Majesco and it won't work with the TV tuner and has shitty build quality.

Ok, well the one I'm looking at is "New in box" and it's a Sega Game Gear box... so, that's the right one... right? The Majesco one would be packaged differently, correct?

Thanks,

GameGear's aren't worth squat to me, but some people go crazy (well, as crazy as you can get over a GameGear)... espessially with NO scratches on the screen or anything. I'd say $20 would be a good max for an absolute mint one.

I agree, Game Gears really aren't worth anything anymore. I was going to pick up a bundle with a game gear in good shape and some games for around $30 with hope to resell it but I would only have gotten maybe an extra $5 for it all! LOL
