Great c-64 title that begs for a console release. Lets get going programmers.

Now there's a title I haven't heard in a long time. One of my favorite C64 games as well, a brilliant brain-bender. Didn't this game have one of the greatest soundtracks ever?

Have you tried the fan-made hack/sequel Dungeons of Dr. Creep? Basically just a collection new levels but as fun as the original. Brøderbund should do a classic compilation, they had a couple of good games C64.

Sadly, Broderbund doesn't seem to be at all interested in publishing games anymore.

I seem to recall it didn't have a soundtrack at all. (When I played it in PC64, I listened to a charming classical music CD instead.)

Kinda nifty, but I recall a lot of the levels were basically loops through which you travelled repeatedly.

Only if you had 1 player. You could play 2 players which was great and really speeded it up.

It have 9 tracks. Listening to the .sid now. Far from the best soundtrack imo. Game is pretty old tho, 1984, so maybe it was one of the best back in the days :)

It was also on Apple ][ and XL, if I remember right.

Jordan Mechner got the inspiration for Prince of Persia from this game (Interview in a British magazine)

Yet this one died and Prince of Persia keeps on going. Go figure. I liked prince of persia but the idea of backtracking over and over to make the same jump quicky looses my interest and my temper. They have the same nasty habit in other games such as Tomb Raider. AHhhhhhhhhhhh. What a way to waste a good game.
