Does anyone know what games are not compatible with the Phantom convertor? I heard some MVS games wont play on the AES. Any help is appreciated.

I'm pretty sure that Jockey Grand Prix and V-Liner won't work at all with any phantom or AES unit, even if using an MVS bios. As far as other games, I think it is less concrete. Otherwise, the trouble games are mostly, if not all, SNKPlaymore era games. This is because of a updated encryption that can cause games to not play at all, randomly reset or have other problems

I know on my art of fighting has little glitches when the game zooms out.... kinda looks like its snowing... other than that it still works with the converter.

I have the 2nd version Phantom, the "Blue One".

It will only work with the SNK era games; not the 100% Playmore versions, like Samurai Shodown V and such. Of that, there's like....6 to 9 games total that do now work out of the entire library. No biggie though, since most of them are coming to XBox.

There are a few (like, 3?) that may have reset problems. Rage of the Dragons is one; it'll keep resetting to the splash screen when you first boot the deck. However, once it loads the game, if you turn off the option called "Flash", it never resets. (shrug)

I have Art of Fighting 1, works like a charm. Just keep the contacts clean and you're good to go.

I've probably been out of the loop. I heard they stopped making these converters. So they have new ones out now? Are these going to be more available?

You are correct that they stopped making them. I believe there is 2 versions of the P-1, is that correct? Anyone know?

As far a i knew they were all the same version ... they just used different colored PCBs....If you do get one i would advise you to make a case for it out of a nonworking neo geo cart so you dont mess up your converter by scraching the boards.....i never understood why they didnt make a case for these things considering the price tag of 270.

there were different versions, but I dont know how many, and the only revision I know of is that they added a sterio out on the P-1 converter. Why I dont know.

I think some odd MVS games required the stereo out plug for sound, I forget what the reason was. At least that's what my very fuzzy memory is telling me, so I could be totally wrong.

There seems to be differing opinions on P1 versions...hmmm.
