So many games so few mem cards.

I usually only have one at a time (because I sell them at the store) but I know a few gamers that have several.

Gamecube: 2 (1019 and 251)
PS2: 4
PSX: 4
Xbox: 1
DC: 12 VMUs

I actually got bored one day and typed up a listing of what games were stored where. I then made labels. :)

Stuck the labels on my website, if anyone is curious:

PS2: Two first-party black 8MB cards. Probably going to get a third one soon since both are filling up.

Gamecube: One 1019 card.

Two 8MB for the PS2 (one for PES saves, the other for the rest), and a few for the Cube (one 1019 for US, two 251 for Japan and a 1019 for EA Sports games!, plus one for anything I use with Freeloader).

I've got one for my PS2, and I'll probably pick up another one sometime. For the most part I don't really think I even need another one, since I get rid of the saves when I beat a game anyway.

Ive never really thought about it before, but Im pretty sure I only have 3-4. And they are all marked with little stickers
I really dont play systems that use memory cards very often for some reason.

Many people are listing Dreamcast and PS1 but the title of this message says modern system and those aren't modern systems by the DP definition. By that definition, I believe I have 6, 5 for my GameCube and 1 for my PS2. If you did allow PS1 and Dreamcast, I'd probably have to add at least 4 for each system.

2 PS2 & 1 GameCube

Would probably only need 1 PS2, but I hardly ever delete anything and the occasional 4,000 unit save (I understand sports seasons, but WWF? Why?) makes 2 necessary.

Gamecube 3 - I have one crappy 3rd party one that can barely hold anything, another decent third party and an official Nintendo card that feels like it has unlimited space.

PS2 - 4 - Two official, One I found in my car, an Action Replay card that someone gave to me years ago and is useless because I don't have a disc for it.

PS1 - 3 - One official, two thrid party that seem to work very well.

Just 1; A MadCatz one for my Gamecube.

I've only played Super Smash Bros Melee, Super Mario Sunshine and Legend of Zelda: Windwaker on my Cube though, so I don't need all that much memory.

at least 7 PS2 cards (3 black, 1 red 1 blue, 1 green 1 smokey)

I've got something like four PSOne memory cards...that work. Had one that eventually stopped working...piece of crap "multi-page" card.

I've NEVER run out of space on cards when a system was current, besides on PlayStation. My GC takes all the saves I throw at it (but I only use one save per game there).

4 GC(1 Animal Crossing, 1 59 Block, 1 256, and 1 1024 Block) all offical Nintendo Brand :-P

1 PS2, 1 PS1 and that's it. I have a GC, but only play multi-player games. That, and paying $30 for a 1019 is not to appetizing.

Why are ps2 cards so freaking expensive still, even used? I can go buy a 251 for cube used for 10 bucks or less but ps2? Jeez you can't find official ones for under 25. That's crazy. ps2 cards fill up faster than cube ones in my experience as well.

For the PS2 I've got 2 official memory cards and one unofficial 64 Meg one. Too many problems with data corruption on the 64 Meg one however, so it just gets used to backup saves that I want to get off the regular cards.

On a side note: Datel came out with a PS2 15 Meg Flash drive that works pretty nifty for storing saves and downloading saves from the net. It also supports PGEN (a genesis emulator), but so far I've had really mixed results with it (crashes, no sound, ect.).

Let's see...I have 4 Dreamcast memory cards, 5 (4 US, 1 Japanese) PS2 memory cards, and 9 (4 59's, 2 251's (1 US, 1 Japanese), and 3 1019's) Gamecube memory cards. If you wanted to go into the 32-/64-bit generation, though...I've probably got close to 15 PS1 memory cards (a few of which are those 2X, 8X, etc. types), as well as 3 N64 memory cards and 3 Saturn memory cards...

Three PS2 cards, and two Gamecube ones.

The second GC one is the animal crossing card, but since I don't play that game anymore I erased the AC data on that one in case I need it.

I got alot of Memory storage devices. Of note all of my Memory devices are official. Here it is as follows:

1 Neo Geo
7 Playstation
1 Saturn
1 N64
6 Dreamcast VMU
3 PS2
2 Gamecube (1019 and a 59 for import)
1 xbox

I am currently looking for another Turbo Duo system for additional memory storage. I hate to delete games to make room for other game saves. This will be my biggest and most expensive memory storage device when I get it!

Why not? The manual says you can transfer save files from a memory card (either the PS1 or PS2 versions) to the HDD. It was one on my "excuses" for buying the JP Midnight Blue PS2 BB Pack ;)
