Paprocki invited me here. So you can all blame him.

Random thought: I just bought Ridge Racer 6 and immediately thought that the PSP version was a beta test.

If RR for the PSP got negative press do you think RR6 would have relied so heavily on nitrous?

Anyways, fun game. A lot more fun the PGR3. At least if you go by the time I have played and my progress, I like RR6 more. Not as fun as NFS: Most Wanted though. Those cop chases rock.

All but one Achievement in RR6 is online though, the 15,000 points in Pac-Man is the only offline Achievement you can get. That is lame. Super lame. Tiger 06 did the same thing. Very irritating.

Anyways Matt is posting my reviews here, at least some of them.

Yea so I'll go to bed now. Cheers.

I don't think it was a beta test. Namco saw that many of the popular and best-selling racing games that have been released use nitrous as an extra feature. It's almost become commonplace, as you rarely see a game without it. Even Gran Turismo 4 has it.

I'm intrigued that you praise RR6...that might persuade me to give it a look.

Well I really enjoy RR on the PSP. And RR 6 is just about the same game. It has more races. The nitrous has been improved. Now you can fill up 2 or 3 and use a different button to do a double or triple boost. These last longer then say three single boosts.

The time trial is a "Global Time Trial" since everything is fed through Live on the 360. You can download ghost data from Live. If your time is in the top 100 it uploads it to Live too. I found this out as I got 54th on one of the tracks.

I read after you finish the first 101 races the World Xplorer really opens up with a lot more races.

I guess it boils down to the fact that I like RR on the PSP, thats why I like RR 6. I am also such the racing fan all of a sudden, who knows why.
