Got a NPB Dispute that I just closed & got back my fees. Can't decide if I should leave a negative or not? I'm afraid of retailiation!
What do you do?

Easy call really. If you're scared about getting bad feedback then don't do it. Of course, if you're scared of getting bad feedback then you really shouldn't buy or sell anything on eBay ...
For myself, I would always leave bad feedback for NPBs, that's what feedback is there for. Why should someone who doesn't pay have better feedback than me, who does?

You DEFINITELY need to leave feedback for these stupid bastards. I had a Nintendo system auction that was going off last night. Some stupid lady bids with 12 mins left, and then emails me and says "ALERT ALERT I meant to bid 40.00 not 4000, sorry" So I emailed her back and told her there was only 10 mins left and she better go retract her bid or someone is going to bid her up and then she will be responsible for paying. Then someone bids her up to $71 and the auction ends.
I email her and tell her that she is responsible for paying and that she cant just put in the wrong bid and say "oops, sorry" problem solved. She emails me back and in all caps says "It WAS MY MISTAKE BUT IM NOT PAYING THAT MUCH!"
To make a long story short, I have a second chance offer out, but it only has 10 hours left. If it doesnt sell I am filing a NPB claim and I WILL leave negative feedback. These fuckers need to pay the penalty for acting like stupid assholes on eBay. If you people dont start leaving bad feedback when its deserved, they will keep getting away with this for a long time.

Not true, as long as you file unpaid item disputes, you are doing your job. Those are what get people kicked off. Feedback has no effect on whether a person is kicked off ebay

i think Ebay would side with her 'cause it's an obvious typo:
On second thought- no you're right: "If you place a bid during the last 12-hours of the listing: You may retract the bid only within one hour after placing the bid (and if your situation meets eBay's exceptional circumstances description)."
Your lady missed the one hour window. Also: "If you are not allowed to retract your bid during the last 12-hours of the listing, you may contact the seller to request that your bid be canceled. The seller will have the discretion whether to cancel your bid."
Copy-n-paste these Ebay rules to your lady & show her that Ebay is on your side & tell her EBAY will issue a strike against here if she does not pay. Sometimes people are more inclined to pay if they have a Large Corporation like Ebay breathing down their necks.

Why didn't you just cancel her bid? It looks like a genuine mistake and you know that it will be hard to make someone pay who doesn't want to. Situations like this just end up with you two exchanging negative feedbacks. If, on the other hand, you would have cancelled the bid, you would have sold the item to someone else, gotten your money, no paperwork to fill out and no negative in your feedback...

I say leave the NEG (to the original poster) Who the F*@K cares about neg feedback? It is so over rated. I think the feedback system is flawed, and has no bearing on wheather or not I sell to a person or bid on there item.
There are too many @ss clowns out there leaving all kinds of stupid feedback that you cannot even trust what you read in the diluted feedback ratings.
How many times has someone around here said that they got neg for no reason at all? Who cares? GET OVER IT!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought that if you cancel someone's bid, they cant bid on your auction anymore. Atleast thats what I thought. I didnt wanna do that because at the time, i wanted her $40 bid. So I figured she would get my email in time and retract it. But apparently I was wrong.

Ebay's rules are clear. "If you place a bid during the last 12-hours of the listing: You may retract the bid only within one hour after placing the bid (and if your situation meets eBay's exceptional circumstances description)."
She chose not to retract. Now she must pay.
