Dear Group-
As a coin-collector, I've been fortunate fo come across coins from Zork Trilogy, Ultima, and Suikoden IV. I wonder if any of you might recognize some of the names on this list, which I found on the Internet. Do any of these games have "real" coins, which were made to look and be used like actual coinage?
Here's the list (if there are any others, please let me know):
Bell from Animal Crossing and GiFTPiA.
Filari from Ultima VII Part Two: Serpent Isle.
G or GP, currency used in many computer role-playing games.
Gald from Tales of Symphonia.
Gil from the Final Fantasy series.
Inter Stellar Kredits (ISK) from EVE Online.
Meat from Kingdom of Loathing, in the form of slabs "dropped" by monsters.
Meseta from the Phantasy Star series.
Moolah from the Oddworld series.
Munny from Kingdom Hearts.
Neopoints, from the Neopets web site.
NuYen, in the Shadowrun RPG.
Rings, from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. These did not have actual money value until Sonic Adventure, where they could be used to buy items for your Chao.
Sovereigns from Knights of Xentar.
Tiberium, a disruptive resource that served as currency in the video game Command & Conquer.
Warl from the video game Trapt.
Zulie, currency used in the Rose Online MMORPG.
Zeny, currency in the Ragnarok Online MMORPG.
Zenny, used in certain Capcom video games such as Breath of Fire or Megaman Legends.

I doubt that there's any form of physical "Nuyen" currancy as in the game world money is handled like debit cards with devices called "cred sticks".

Also wasn't there a Lunar collectable coin?

Edit: And to answer my own question: http://www.lunar-net.com/merchandise/coin.php

Hmm, there weren't any actual Moolah coins made, but there may be a picture in the 10th anniversary art book Oddworld Inhabitants put out.

There is a gold Sonic coin that commemorates his 10th anniversary. It came in a nice tri-fold package when Sonic Adventure 2 came out.

There are also Mortal Kombat: Deception coins, and Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire coins.

I know they aren't currency from games, but I figured this info would be useful.

You forgot Fol [Star Oceans].

Thank you, EVERYONE, for your input! Haoie, is the Fol you mentioned an actual coin made of metal? Thaks! Erik

Nah, Fol is just the currency used in all SO titles [that I know of].

Did you have Gald as well? Of the Tales series.

Hi, Haoie! Thanks! I haven't heard of the Gald, either. Is this just the fictional currency (like the Fol), or an actual coin? I'm really just focusing on the actual coinage, whether they come from RPGs, classic video games, or even old-fashioned board-games (I recently came across a neat little cardboard piece, a 1 Grebble, from "ORK", of Mork and Mindy fame (from a 1979 Parker Brothers game). My only "criteria" is that the piece be as truly coin-like as possible and have one/all of these 3 characteristics written on the coin: place-name, denominaton, year. This would differentiate it from a medallion (which I don't collect).

I strongly doubt these coins exist in the real world. They're VG only currencies.

Play Fallout! Then you can collect bottlecaps or ring pulls. Fallout 2 uses dollar coins or such though.
