Hi guys i found a Megadrive sample/proto of Castlevania: The New Generation.I've checked the net a bit but i can't seem to find an existing proto of this game.Any one have any more info on this one?
I will add some screens mega soon, unfortunatly i don't own the released version so i can't tell the differences yet. Will keep you informed and if you know anything please reply. :)

Edit: Ok i tried it on my Megadrive but i only get this screen when i put on the power.
The game doesn't start up,is there a region difference maybe?I'm kinda new to Sega collecting,is there a PAL and NTSC difference like with NES?I mean could this be an NTSC proto?Till now i only bought games from the Europe region and haven't had any probs.
Here's a pic of the screen, after this shows the screen turn black.

One screen and then nothing? Strange.
I think when it is NTSC, it would show nothing and not work on your PAL console, but not sure.

It should be a regional lock

All Konami games tend to lock up on a non-native console (you just get a Konami logo screen), but I would expect that to be a PAL proto since the US version was called "Castlevania: Bloodlines" :/

Try cleaning your console also. I've tried many a genesis game that would come up to this screen and then just go black. 90% of the time, either the game or console was dirty. If you've cleaned the game, try cleaning your console.

modding a genny/mega drive to play import games is easy, just one line to cut and one switch to install.
iirc, you can find instructions on gamesx.com.

given the case that it really is a region protection, you got no choice but to obtain a ntsc-compatible genny, either by modding your pal unit or by buying an american one.

Well cleaning it didn't help me,again all games i own work but this one doesn't.That friggin start screen...afterwards blackness. :(
I heard some games don't work on one MD console but do on another,is this true and if so would i have to try on some others MD's?I know someone who could help me with this but dang what an efford already.
