Well, he's not been SILENCED per say, but it seems a he's more bark that bite lately. Has he been censored?

I used to LOVE his nasty, insult-ridden reviews in the back pages of EGM... wasn't it called "THE REST OF THE CRAP" or something like that? Most of his reviews were of GBA games (I know, easy targets like Raven and Barbie) but he sometimes did console games, too.

Now it seems that current games are no longer targets... I think he has recently insulted game-based movies, NES games, and even stuff from the 2600 era. Have the powers-that-be from EGM bowed under pressure from game publishers?

While I have no answer to your question, I have noticed his "edge" slipping recently. That said, I've admittedly never found him to be that great, edge or not. He's a guy who makes fun of bad video games - we all do that. Most of us just don't get published and paid for it.

I'm pretty sure his most recent EGM article was all about PS2 accessories, and it was certainly filled with his trademark nastiness. So I'm not sure what the concern is.

And let's not forget his full page article on That's So Raven 2. Oh SNAP! LOL

I found some of his old stuff to be laugh-out-loud funny. The newest articles... not so much.

Oh, well.

SB never had edge. Was there really a need for another part of EGM reviewing bad games? He's lame in every way. That faux punk image was tired before it started.

Satan needs to pull SB down to hell for some eternal rape and torture.

The only article that that asshat was a part of was the worst games list that he made. Other then that I have no interest in his opinion.

I think what really happened, was that his article writing fame got him onto G4, where people got to hear his actual voice and see his live action persona. After watching SeanBaby on television, you realize the he's not nearly as witty or quick thinking as that which he portrays in his aticles. Of course, after you go on G4 as an actual host, instead of as a Guest interview, your career is pretty much shot in the world of gaming. ;)

Word.

The guy is a dick and an egomaniac. And for what? Because he can make fun of things and thinks he's some kind of rock star? Bah, screw him. His act is SO old now and has run its course.

Good to see that other people don't like him. I always found him annoying and un-funny. Hopefully he'll just shutup altogether.

What? You guys don't like the faux-hawk?

All I know is, I've seen a lot of people doing the same thing a lot better. Only difference is, somehow he "made it" while the others didn't.

I haven't beeen to that site in ages and after attempting to read a few articles and reviews I'm damn glad I haven't. It's fucking terrible.

I always enjoyed Seanbaby. :\

His stuff has dropped in the last few years, yeah, ever since he seemed to be writing exclusively for EGM. (Not updating his website, leaving The Wave...) It's still fun, though. Was his EGM stuff ever edgy in the first place, though? I always figured EGM was a kids' magazine.

In the meantime, if anyone's got the last few months' EGMs with his write-ups, I've missed a lot and would be interested in trading.

THANK YOU!

It seems I am a member of a very small club that enjoyed SB's work. Oh, well. I like what I like. I'm queer like that.

His website had some funny shit on it but his stuff lately has lacked in quality.

When he had that article about those people who wrote into Nintendo Power....good stuff.

"I make $50 an hour and I get laid every night" LOL LOL

Seanbaby has done a few entertaining things, but ever since he whored himself to MTV a few years ago to bring this squeaky clean and nonsensical special about video games, he's lost all credibility in my eyes. I don't think anyone remembers this special except for me, but it was some joint effort between MTV and EGM to bring some list called like "The Top Ten..." something or other. I remember it was very generic and the list had no actual criteria or pattern. Very MTV-ish in other words.

He also was a panelist on that show last summer, Video Game Vixens. So if there were any doubts that Seanbaby will sell out for anything, he erased all those doubts by doing that show.

The one soft spot I have for Seanbaby is that he seems to be the only other person on the planet besides me who bought this video about 15 years ago called "How to score more points on Nintendo games," narrated by Skip Rogers, World Video Game Champion. Even though there isn't any organization on the planet that seems to acknowledge Skip Rogers ever doing anything to become 'world champion of video games,' he proudly wears the title on his sleeve (figuratively, anyway) for the entire video. It's pretty silly stuff in hindsight.

I remember seeing something with him hosting. He didnt seem anything like his website persona and he wasn't cursing...which saddened me that he had to tone himself down. :(

Wasn't he hosting it from inside some classic arcade looking place?

Oh yeah, i remember that. That was some funny shit.

Didnt he also do one about a anti-drug video? Something about how actual drug dealers wouldn't just give you drugs like they show in the videos?

I've always loved Seanbaby's stuff. I dunno, maybe it's because of how ridiculously overexaggerant he writes his articles that makes his stuff funny. No, it isn't the pinaccle of humor, but I find his articles and humor entertaining as it is.

That being said, my subscription to EGM ran out years ago, but I had the first number of issues when Seanbaby started writing his monthly columns. Even if it was pretty watered-down it still managed to come off in Seanbaby's style. When he was given a copy of Karnaaj Ralley, he didn't review the game whatsoever and focused on nothing but the atrocious cover art:

(Thanks DigitalSpace)

As for the TV appearances, well, they felt pretty scripted. I know that the MTV thing he did was his first TV appearance I think, and he looked all kinds of shaky and nervous in that one. VG Vixens... yeah, I'm not gonna comment on that one, kthx.

Seanbaby-you either love him or hate him, as you can tell.

I will say that the only time I've ever laughed so hard reading something on the internet was reading his review for Pro Wrestling on the NES. I think all his Super Friends stuff is funny too.

His stuff for EGM was pretty bad though, aside from his recycled 10 worst games.

What did he say about "Starman"?

Wasnt it something like "A big gay wrestler with a star on his face?"

That game LOL hours and hours of laughs.

If i could find it really dirt cheap then i would own it for its comic value alone.
