in your collction have you never played? im not talking sealed games or games you played once and never played after that. I'm talking about games that you bought but never got around to playing at all. I was just checking out the "who has the biggest collection" post, I have around 400 or so games and I have some I have never played so I wondering if you do to.

GC- 2 of 25
ps- 8 of 69+
ps2 16 of 80+
xbox- 5 of 33
atari - 1 of 33
DC - 1 of 5
Gen- 4 of 39
nes - 2 of 29
snes 3 of 15
n64 - 3 of 13 games maybe if I ever get my systemand games back from the H.A's.(no joke on this one)
saturn 1 of 2
The rest of the systems I own I played all the games for at least once.

I think I asked this question a long, long time ago, and it's a good one to ask. What's the point in buying games that you have no intention of playing (well, outside investment games...)? I still have quite a few; need to get my MD hooked up sometime.

Not sure maybe 30-40 games? I haven't had my SNES out for awhile in favor of DC so I haven't tried any of the stuff I've bought in the past few months.

I'd say currently 2 games:
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicals (GC)
1942 (NES)

Reason: I just got them the other day and haven't had the chance to test them [Been wired to my Galactic Attack (Saturn) and Tales of Destiny (PSone)]. When I get games I generally test them within a week to assure they work after purchase (Otherwise I return) and then put them on the shelf until I get around to playing it. My current line of games to be played is at least 200. Sooooo, if you say "What have I not played?" it's at least 200.

As said recently in the other thread, I have about 1500 games.
I have probably played 100 of them....
50 of those 100, I probably played for a minute, then turned it off.
Out of the final 50, I played about 25 of them fairly well, but not all the way through or anything.
And then I've probably played and mastered 25 of my games.
One day, I'll play them all. Now I'm just concerned about getting them. ;)

None.

I record in my database when I bought a game, and on the day I bought it every year, I will play that that game.

It results in me playing each of my games at least once a year.

I don't like the idea of not playing games I have spent money on. It's a games collection, not a stamp collection. They are meant to be played.

For example, for today - December 16th I've bought:
Tetrisphere (N64) - 2000
Pokemon Stadium (N64) - 2000
NBA Jam (Mega Drive) - 2003
Mortal Kombat (Mega Drive) - 2003

Just had a fun thrash with them - still trying to be all the NBA teams in Jam. :-P

For me it's a time thing rather than the collector in me. With work and other stuff taking up my time, I rarely have anything left to play the games I've been picking up. In fact tonight, I've had someone buy Halo 2 and Call of Duty from me and I hadn't had chance to play them myself!

Mind you, I'm into Brian Lara on the Xbox at the moment and that's not really a game for having a quick blast on.

I've got about 1900 games at the moment and I'd hazard a guess at half of those I've yet to play. Some are for formats I'm not overly excited about like 2600 and some I don't have the machines for yet or that I've sold like Jaguar, Neo Geo CD.

None, I can safely say I've played them all at least once [usually more].

There are a lot of titles I have which I didn't make any mem card saves on, however, number about 2-3 dozen.

Depending on how you define "played", it could be all of them. I test every game, by putting it in the system, turning it on, and usually pressing a button or two. But if you count played as actually attempting to get somewhere in the game, I estimate that about 460 games that I own, I haven't played.

I do plan to play almost all my games. Whenever I happen to get a ridiculous amount of time, I guess...

I don't have that many games, but there are about 20 Genesis games I haven't gotten around to testing out or playing. I had bought a big lot of games at a thrift store and just never have hooked up my genesis to test them out...

I guess its more laziness and not enough time then not wanting to play them.

Makes me sad that I haven't played those games yet, maybe I should bring out the genesis this weekend and play them all.

Oh, goodness. About 75? Most of those would be disc only PSX games I picked up at the flea market... 48 discs for $25, I couldn't resist. But yeah, it's unlikely that I'll *ever* be playing Disney's Story Studio featuring Mulan. Just a guess. Same with Kickboxing. And Blast Lacrosse. And MLB 99. And... well, you get the idea.

I did, however, try Mary Kate and Ashley: Winner's Circle. Surprisingly not as horrible as it could've been. If you were at all into equestrian sports, it might even be enjoyable.

hehe, very good question and cos i don´t know a number, i´ll say that the 90% of my collection was never played... :embarrassed:, but, what the heck? we are collectors...

I also play every game that I buy at least once, even if only for a matter of minutes - it's become routine. :)

Yeah, I know... there are a few reasons why.
I collect games purely to collect. I origionally started buying games to re-kindle my childhood, but once I had all of the games that I liked, I just kept on buying more and more. Now, I have all these games that have no meaning to me other than the fact that they are a big part of my collection. (I love my collection as a collection, not to play).
Second, I never have time to play any of them. I usually start playing a game and don't finish it for 3 - 4 months.
