Hiya! As the title asks can I burn N64 ROMs suffixed with z64 onto a CD and play them on my V64 Doctor? The reason I ask is that I only have ONE CD left and I can't afford to waste it on an experiment! I just got the thing today (a FREE donation to my shop!!) and am choking ot get using it. :-P
First of all, you should know that your ROMs could be in either format. Sometimes they are given the z64 file extension no matter what format they are. Kind of like how SNES ROMs are often .smc even though there are half a dozen formats floating around.
You can easily check and convert your ROMs if necessary using either ucon64 or a nice GUI program I discovered called Tool64.

Well, I've dl'd Tool64 (thanks!) and have converted my ROMs to byte swapped v64. :)
The bummer is, now, I can't seem to get the v64 Doctor to read the discs I burn. I've posted this on another thread:

Now I feel really bad 'cos I've got 2 threads on the go regarding this thing and 1 of the threads is months old!
:embarrassed:
Why are these things never easy, eh? :)
