Haha but you're wrong. It was the PeeS2 and GayCube that stared in that one. OMFG that was funny.

On the main subject, I have seen it being played in two scenes in MXP: Most Extreme Primate.

I'm not telling you what they're playing, though. You'll have to watch the movie to see. :)

while not a movie, the Xbox does make quite a few apperances in Logan's bedroom in Veronica Mars (season 1 is on dvd; buy it!). I recgonized XMen Legends in one episode, but I have no idea what he was playing in a later episode...guess I'm not hip enough to current games or some such.

About 99% of the advertising in The Island was totally out of place and jarring... if it weren't for all of it, I would have loved the movie quite a bit more. Then again, I'm always down for a good THX 1138/Logan's Run/etc style movie.

I saw a guy playing an Xbox game just before an "action" scene between him and a girl.

In "Sky High", that main character gets an xBox as a gift after he gains his super powers.

The movie is atrocious, and the product placement is painfully obvious. Like X-Men, except really really bad.

Funny you mention 40 Year Old Virgin...I saw the Xbox sitting under the TV, with both controllers sitting on top of it.

Funny thing is, the two guys looked like they were playing Mortal Kombat Deception (or Dark Alliance). One guy was in a 'video game chair', and the other was using some 3rd party crappy N64 controller. Of course, neither was actually playing (judging by their hand movements).

I lol'ed.

"The Island"

Has the XBOX logo where they are playing some sort of fighting holo-game.

American Pie? The first one?

That movie came out in 1999....before the XBOX.

I was going to say that EXACT same thing, with the frozen screen and everything. He also has a LOT of gaming strategy guides.

Again, not quite a movie, but Spike is seen playing an Xbox in a few of the episodes in the last series of Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Although, I suspect it's chipped, as I blieve he is playing Donkey Kong... :/

Yeah, I just saw this and I don't understand why that was. It looks like they had the actual game running on a TV, so why not use the correct controllers? It seems so out of place in a movie that is supposed to appeal to geeks to get something like that wrong. I almost think they did it intentionally to get people talking about it.
