Nintendo teaming up with Namco has released Mario Kart Arcade GP into the arcades. It's the super-fantastic Mario Kart that we all know and love, with close to 50 power-ups/weapons and it includes Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, and Blinky as new characters being added to the standard roster of Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong and the likes. Anyone here actually seen one in an arcade. I'm dying to play this game and I don't mind a road trip. I know of a few people who have played it in California, Nebraska, and Tokyo. Please report any sitings.

A guy I know in Norman, OK is getting one for his arcade in January. I've been wanting to check it out, so when I get down there I'll let you know how it is.

Saw it, played it, left with the distinct feeling of "meh." It's not bad, but I don't really see anything that makes it much of an innovation over any of the countless racing cabs we've seen since Daytona. :)

Yeah, from what I hear, it's pretty lame... I haven't played one yet, but those expecting another great game in the MK series are probably gonna be disappointed :( .

just think...anyone that wants a complete mario kart set only has to shell out a few thousand for this baby to complete their set....

I played one at the Aladdin's Castle in Burnsville, Minnesota. It was alright I guess...

I played one at Family Fun Center Here in Omaha. I really didn't like it. Half the fun of playing mario kart is doing the power slides and bombing the hell out of people that can't do them.

They completely eliminated power slides from teh arcade version. The graphics looks about the same as double dash.

It is still fun though (just because I don't like something, doesn't mean I can't have fun with something I didn't like :) ).

QFT.

The jumping/powersliding is too awkward.
