Aye. I'm having to scratch my head in that Zach spent a lot of time being negative about the time, which goes contrary to what's being said now. I like the guy and don't think he's trying to mislead us, but I wonder if some of the more negative posters (OP of the Classic Gaming "WD is finally dead post," RCM, roushimx...etc) took a cue from previous discussions.
I didn't think my post was all that negative Ed. It was fair and honest...the way I always try to be.

Jeez, I was hoping this would just die, as I already said one too controversial thing. I went back to the other thread and found what had caused me to write that:
As for the Vic Ireland love/bashing, I don't know him but he sure seems like an asshole.
You're right, that's not nearly as bad as roushimx (who got on my list twice LOL ), but at face value that's still a negative thing to say.
I can't comment on "fair and honest," since it's possible you had some previous experiences with Mr. Ireland. I haven't, so for me to take the various negative things said over the years and just repeat them wouldn't be appropriate.
Sorry to keep this going, folks, but I guess the topic couldn't die. :/
I can't say i'm too upset. I really wasn't into any of their stuff. I know RPG's were their bread and butter and all, i'm not a fan of the genre.
I do respect their achievements and it's always sad when a respectable publisher goes under. The most shocking thing about this announcment is that the end didn't come sooner.
As for the Vic Ireland love/bashing, I don't know him but he sure seems like an asshole. He can't be all bad though, he made great contributions to gaming!

I don't know him. I gave my honest take and feeling on the situation and VI. There's good and bad in my comments but overall it wasn't meant to be a negative thing. It ends with "RIP WD" afterall. There's no need for another flame fest, er friendly debate between us.
