Anybody know anything about these or where I can find some info on them? I'm not talking about the Famicon. I mean actual NES games from Asia. I'm having difficulties finding any info on them. Actually, I can't find ANY info on them. I know that non US release games are PAL games but does that include Asia too? Or did Asia have different types of games?

Anyone have any idea?

This is just a guess, but are you talking about the Sachen games?

Or those pirate 52 in 1 games (insert any number in front of the 1)

I'm actually talking about these games:

The seller says they're Asian games but I'm thinking differently and that they're something else.

Those games in the pics are fakes.

I still have my asian NES with me (i can take a pic if anyone is interested - only different is that it says ASIAN VERSION on it). However, as mentioned before i've lost my only asian NES game (mario/duck hunt).

Some info for you, Hounder:

- Asian NES games are not marketed as 'PAL' games (although they are running in PAL format) - Just 'Asian Version'.
- They will not work on US or PAL (europe, uk or australia) consoles.
- They are different from 'Hong Kong Edition' Consoles and games.
- They were only marketed for Singapore and Indonesia only (as far as i can tell)
- Unlike US consoles, it has a grey strip running across the top of the console (where the US one had a black strip).

Thats all i can gather from memory. Hope it helps.

I don't think they're fake. Take a look at this pic on Ebay:

I asked the guy to take a separate pic of those two orange games so I could see them up close. He sent me the one I already posted. If by fake you mean pirated, then they might be. But I'm pretty sure they exist.

Thanks for the info though. I couldn't find any anywhere! It's much appreciated.

Looks fake! Except for that mario/duck hunt cart, which is what i had.
All consoles in the asian region (excluding japan) looked exactly like the US counterpart (i'm sure), with maybe some colour variations.
That orange cart on the extreme left does not have a nintendo seal of quality. And it looks like a sticker.

Also notice the grey cart standing up and the mario cart. Its a different shade of grey. I've never seen a console like that, nor have i seen original carts in orange - EVER.

If you're looking to buy, ask him to take a pic of the underside of the console. There should be a serial number and some info.

I think he's talking about the NES games you get from HK not the NES games released in Japan.

I have never seen anything like that either.

The NES doesn't even have the flap, looks like it just goes straight in or something.

Those two grey carts could be the same color, they are just in different positions and looks like different light... but they do look different?

That would be neat to find out what those games really are.

Well the seller told him it was asian version - which in my books refers to what i was talking about. NES games from HK were referred to as Hong Kong Version back in the day.

I went ahead and got the dealer to let me buy the four games seperate for $18. I didn't want the console as it's probably a pirated one and only works with certain games. I'm anxious to get the games and see what they are. He said they work in a NTSC NES system as well. The game on the left I have no clue what it is. I'll post pics when I get them. The seller is from Italy so it might be a couple of weeks before I get the pics. Just depends on how fast he sends 'em out and all.

Its a different shade of grey. I've never seen a console like that, nor have i seen original carts in orange - EVER.
I'm wondering though if it's the lighting that makes them that color. When I veiwed a pic of the Zelda test carts, I thought they were orange as well but the owner said they were yellow just like any other test cart. This was confirmed shortly after from someone else who the owner sent a test cart to. So they might not actually be orange but yellow. But then again, they really could be an orange color. Guess I'll find out shortly.

Looks interesting. My guess would be that they are pirates, but what do I know? ;)
Still though, you can't go wrong with 18 bucks.

That's weird you would show that because this was the game that popped into my head when I looked at these games lol. But you just never know until you hold 'em in your hands and try 'em out ;) They could be genuine :)

Something like that. There should be the words 'Hong Kong Version' of 'Asian Version' on those cartridges, which i don't think are there.

Is it just me or are there no groove lines on the two orange carts? and does that standing grey cart's groove lines look oddly uneven?

Being that the words are at the bottom of the carts I don't think they are those versions. And they don't look like any pirates I've ever seen (not saying I've seen 'em all :P). Alot of the pirated carts I've seen use a different looking cart. The one on the left however does have Japanese or Chinese symbols on it so there's no doubt in my mind that it could be a pirate. I'm more interested in the New Ghostbusters II cart.

which is why he blurred the "Entertainment Computer System" on the front of it.

orange ones are bootleg, and the grey carts are euro. the asian/hongkong versions come in light grey. like the hongkong pic shown, and ALWAYS use the art from famicom games, and not thier US counter part. look at the hongkong cart to see what i mean. the only OFFICIAL orange cart ever to be released on the NES was teh test cart that those authorized repair centers used.

The Asian version NES carts are white. I own an Asian version of Tetris.

BTW, the NES in the picture above is a clone, and one of the better clones that exists.

Yeah they are pirates,it isn't that weird that PAL release only's are pirated.I have some multi carts (for exmaple a 13-1) that are asian and have New Ghost Busters 2 on it.

They're light grey actually as mentioned above. With exceptions to games like Zelda 2 which was gold.

I'm sure its naturally just faded, rather than going to the extent your talking.

Exactly, not to mention these NES clones were sold under various different names. You can also see that the clone in the picture has a different title as the first word is smaller than "Entertainment."

I think that the orange carts are pirated, but you never know ;)
