Xbox 360 steal on eBay... is it even possible !?!?!?!

Last night I was wathcing 2 Xbox 360's that were being sold on eBay in my area. What exited me was that they were both well under $100 with just over an hour left on each. Sadly as the auctions came closer to closing they both shot up to over $500 each :(

So I ask, have any of you out there been able to get a sweet 360 deal off eBay? Is this even possible ?

I've heard that some premium auctions are closing below $500, with free shipping included! So it appears that if you really work hard, you can get one on Ebay for like $30 over what it would cost at a store.

The funny thing is, with that markup, the seller actually is probably losing like $25 on the deal. It's kinda amazing how the tide has turned on the Ebay 360 auctions. It's now a buyers market. Some profiteers are probably getting real nervous right now.

Afaik you can update the xbox360 via internet so I dont see the reason to wait for a new wave of consoles.

When I went to the TRU sale yesterday they had 3 360s available to me. I would have bought them but no cash. Was gonna resell them but the guy was like

"It's awesome man, get one"

Then I said

"If by awesome you mean really getting into a game then 30 minutes in then the system crashes, then yes it is awesome"

I doubt you'll be able to get a deal on the 360 until February. No one is dumb enough to have lost money on it over eBay. But time will come.

Yeah you can obviously update firm/software but you cant fix mechanical problems via internet!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I would buy them just to resell to. Thats my purpose...make the dough.
