Ok, I was at my local Gamestop today and while browsing through their selection I noticed they had a used copy of Gitaroo Man for $44.

At any rate, I passed on it and picked up Gunstar Super Heroes for the GBA.

But.......I have this gut feeling....a thought repeating in the back of my head: I should've picked it up.

Now, I hear it's a bit harder to find out on the wild, and looking at Ebay, there's plenty of copies available. In fact, I saw a few "new" copies going for under $40.

What do you guys think? Should I go back and trade a few crap games in (and by crap games, I mean games I bought for under $5 that I will NEVER play) and snag this in-the-wild rarity?

Or should I just get the damn thing on Ebay? LOL

Just how rare is it?

It's been reprinted. Too early to tell how rare it will be, but $40's about the going rate. Might go down, might go up in the future - your call as to whether it's worth it.

i picked it up on the spot when i saw it come in at my store. every copy thats popping up appears to be a reprint that is sold as used. each disc looks minty fresh as well as the boxes and manuals. if you by it at a store you are most likely gaurranted a mint copy. really how ever you pick it up just make sure you do get it, its a game everyone should experience.

Yeah, I've been wanting to play this game as it really sounds like a lot of fun. I don't know how I missed it the first time around!

Thanks guys!

It actually is not used, but rather new and opened. Each and every Gamestop I've been too this month (about 6) have had this along with Cubivore (GCN), Saiyuki, Persona 2, Rhapsody and Breath of Fire IV all mint but sold as used. I believe there was a reprint or "new old stock" found in a warehouse somewhere.

Yeah, I called it used only because the case was really worn and old looking......like it had been sitting in a stack of PS2 games for a while.

I too can atest to the findings of Gitaroo Man, Cubivore, Breath of Fire IV, and Resident Evil 2, 3 and CV for Gamecube.

It seems there has been a bit of reprinting going on lately. I certainly don't mind, as it'll allow me to get my hands on some much desired games on the cheap.
