Better Stylus for the DS?

Hi there. I have friend with whom I exchange Christmas gifts in mid-January. He is notoriously hard to buy for. I haven't had much inspiration, but he loves his DS, and complains often about the stock stylus. I remembered that, some time ago, one of my gaming magazine had run a short little blurb about a type of stylus the preferred for the DS. They said "sure, the stock one works, but all the pro Meteos players use this one". Does anyone remember the brand they were talking about?

Also, if anyone has any other creative gift ideas, I'd love to hear them. I can't really buy him any DS games that you can buy in American stores, since it's possible his family may buy them for him. He also doesn't speak Japanese. Thanks in advance.

I don't own one myself, but I have heard nothing but good things about it. If I was in the mmarket for a better stylus for my DS, this would be the first one I'd get. It seems solid, and really is a great alternative.

I haven't heard there are two downsides to the battle stylus besides the price: The added weight (it's made of metal) stresses the DS screen, and the shiny, metal finish makes it a bit slippery.

That was probably the stylus you read about, though.

Yep, the battle stylus is great. I used one the other day, it's a lot more comfortable than the stock one.

Added weight? :hmm: You aren't dropping it on the screen, you control the pressure.
