Well, since we are the 24th today and I'm leaving soon to see my parents, I might as well post who my SS is, and what I recceived. :D

My Secret Santa was Aussie2B. She sent me the following:

Pokémon Puzzle Challenge for GBC
Commando for NES
Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers for NES
Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie (CD-ROM)
Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer Rounds 1&2 anime (CD-ROM)
Music CD: Apollo Four Forty - Electro Glide in Blue
Music CD: Slaves on Dope - Inches from the Mainline promo EP

and finally...

Final Fantasy X-2 for PS2.

Thanks again!!!!!!!! :D

Guess I'll be next up, as my folks will be arriving soon today and I'll be DP non-grata for the rest of the day.

My SS was Richter, and did he score well with me! I believe I mentioned that I was starting to get into game soundtracks, and I got a massive fist-full of Sega soundtracks (complete with cases) for the following:
*Sonic Adventure 2
*Robotech Battlecry
*The Music of Suikoden
*Space Channel 5 Planet Dance
*Jet Grind Radio Music Sampler
*and Gekimix: Feet of Fury Soundtrack!

And, if that weren't enough, I also got Super Mario Bros. 3 (Super Mario Advance 4) for the GBA, complete in box! Believe it or not, this is the only SMB cart for the GBA I *don't* have! Score for me! :D

As well as a big 'ol Shadow of the Collosus poster he tossed in, he also did up a sketch of nifty-keen sketch of a zombie videogamer getting blasted. I'll scan it up and post it here when I have the chance.

Thanks again Richter! I really appreciate the gifts and will get a ton of use and fun out of 'em!

And Merry Christmas to all this year!

My Santa remained a sekret.

But, he/she did get me Phantasy Star Online Episode I and II for my GC, and a pack of Donkey Kong cards, sealed.

Thank you so much for reawakening my addiction to PSO. :)

Since I just woke up.... Why not!

Firstly I sent my SS present to sailorneorune (Figured I'd mention it since there was no mention in the package). Hope you enjoy!

My SS this year was none other than Mr. DP himself. Knowing that I had a pretty open list of desires Joe put together a nice little PS2 package for me. I got:

Hitman 2 Silent Assassin (First run)
XIII
Splashdown
and Spiderman

4 more games into my ever expanding PS2 collection. Thank you so very much!!!!!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Cmosfm was mine, and boy do I feel lucky. Chris O' Sullivan went WAY out of his way to bring someone who was feeling depressed holiday cheer. I feel blessed and very apppreciateive of how hard he worked for my list. I fell like the luckiest person in the world. It really made my day, as it will probably be the only gifts I get that are games.

Here is what I got:
Syndicate boxed and complete for the Genesis
Tempest X3 for the playstation
Puzzle Link and Magical Drop Pocket for the NGP :eek 2:
PS2 demo Gengi
Street Fighter Anniversary Collection Guide w/Soundtrack :eek 2:
Custom Framed picture of nintendo characters(perfect for my room of doom)
Random assortment of Happy Meal Batman Toys, A Spiderman Venom toy, and a Darth Vader Bendem!

Holy cow do I feel lucky! Thank you so much Chris!!!!!!

My turn!

My Secret Santa was Goodwill Hunter!

And inside my mystery package...

F-Zero X for N64, boxed and complete!
MLB 2005 for PS1, new & still sealed!
Arcade's Greatest Hits: The Atari Collection 1 for SNES!
Tom & Jerry: Fists of Furry for N64!
Desert Demolition (Road Runner game) for Genesis!
Intellivision 10 Video Game System! (Never seen this, it's like one of those controllers you hook up directly to the TV but this is by a different company than most; this has 10 games in it).
And 3 Nintendo Game Packs...they look like trading card packs but say they have 3 scratch off cards and 2 stickers. I've never seen these before.

Thanks a lot, Rich. About half the items you sent me weren't even on my list but they look nice and you didn't send me anything I already have (always a worry in this sort of thing). The item I'm probably happiest about is MLB 2005 since I'm a huge baseball nut and I think this is the last baseball game for the PS1. Thanks again from one happy gamer!

well I opened mine about two days ago since I had to leave for Grandma's house.

my SS was GrandAmChandler and he hooked it up. I took some pictures of it before I left so I wouldn't forget anything since he put so much stuff in it. :) I got a bunch of stuff off my list which was stuff I've been wanting to get for years. I didn't expect to see so much stuff and I didn't expect to see G Darius @_@ it was the first thing I played. Then I played ActRaiser all night. When I get back it will be a Mario Party with the Roomates.

Thank you GrandAmChandler and I hope you have as great a holiday as mine is turning out to be. Also a big thank you to POG who put together the best gift exchange I've been apart of. I've done it the last two years and its been great both years.

Chainsaw Charlie was my SS and he totally overdid it. I was just just expecting a couple cheap games, so I was totally blown away when I opened my package:

http://home.comcast.net/~norkusa/DPSS2k5.jpg

The want list CC got was my GameTZ list and had about 400+ items on it. It seems like he read my thoughts and managed to get me the stuff I wanted the most though. And I actually almost bid on a Kagero demo disc on Ebay a month or two ago. Uncanny.

THANK YOU, Chainsaw! You've totally made my Christmas. :)

My SS was mmpoole8. I have to say that I was floored when I opened the package and found a game I've been looking for for awhile. No, this is not a super rare game and can be had on eBay all the time. I just hadn't bought it yet as most of the games I've gotten lately are not as described. I just didn't want to take a chance on this game.

Two more games down on my complete US Saturn catalog...

Virtua Cop 2
Dragon Force X_x

Thank you so much I love it, and can't wait to play them.

as I sit in the kitchen, finishing off the cookies and milk my 3 year old has set out for Santa, I thought I would check to see what kinda plunder everyone has received. It sounds as if though a lot of gifts have hit the right spot, including my own.

First thing out of the box was an Xbox box with the styrofoam inserts and cardboard (I have the console, just needed the box). Stuffed ever so gently inside the box was a plethura of goodies some of which, I should own but didn't but now I do. Confused? Good!!

For the Atari 2600 I got a few loose games, Battlezone, Congo Bongo, Crystal Castles, Joust, & The Empire Strike Back. In addition, I also got Decathlon and Astroblast complete with boxes, and manuals!

Next up was a few NES games Balloon Fight, Rad Racer 2 Raid 2020 and Roadblasters (one of my all time arcade favorites). I've never owned any of these four games so I'm anxious to give them a little seat time.

As if it couldn't get any better, I also got a series of emulators for my Xbox. Now I will admit that I did have these but the afore mentioned 3 year old thought they were her play set of dvd's (those aol discs do come in handy for something) and put a few scratches on two of them bad enough to render them unplayable. Again, It's like my secret santa had a federal wire tap in my living room and knew exactly what I needed regardless how vague my list was.

Finally, probably the coolest thing I've received (next to the box of classic videogames, swag, and classic magazines Joe sent me a couple years back) was a book titled "How To Master The Video Games" by Tom Hirschfeld published in 1981. I'm definetly gonna examine this much closer as I have some vacation time next week.

All of this good stuff and yet I'm not sure who to thank. The shipping label has a name but no DP Handle; I also know he shipped from Plano, Texas. I checked the boxes closely as well as the wrapping paper for any clues as to who it might be but I'm stumped. Anyway, Thank you for the great gifts, they were right on the mark. I hope everyone has a great Christmas.

Cool, I'm glad you like them. I don't have a saturn system, so wasn't able to test them, so please let me know if they work ok.

My secret santa was SoulBlazer. My package contained lots of cool stuff:

Taito Legends (Xbox, complete) :D
Lightening Force (Genesis, complete)
Sega 32X System
Mario & Luigi Guide (gba)
Donkey Kong Stuffed Animal
Star Trek 25th Anniversary (NES, Complete)
Silent Service (NES, Complete)
Feet of Fury (Dreamcast?, Sealed)
No World Order (PC, Complete)
Electronic TV/Game Switch (unopened)
CD Sampler (PC, unopened)

Thank you so much! I can't wait to play Taito Legends and Lightening Force and try everything else out. I've been so tempted to pick up Taito Legends, but made myself wait. It has been my most wanted game. Thanks! The M&L guide was a wonderful surprise; it will come in very useful (got stuck in the game a while ago). The Donkey Kong Stuffed Animal is awesome :-) . Thanks for everything!

You're welcome, geelw! I read somewhere that you're big into demos and I hope you don't have those. You'll also have to let us know if Shadow of the Colossus lives up to all the hype it's getting.

My SS was goatdan and I got a nice haul again this year. I got:

Pole Position II (7800)
Headhunter Redemption (Xbox - Complete!)
Chip's Challenge (Lynx - Complete!)
Steel Talons (Lynx - Complete!)
Super Skweek (Lynx - Complete!)
Crystal Mines II (Lynx - Complete!)

How'd you know I'm starting to work on building my Lynx collection?

Cool Herders (Dreamcast) - I really, really need to finish up on my Dreamcast games...now I know where to buy the "indies" that I'm missing! ;)

Tempest 2000 soundtrack - Like Sniderman, I've recently gotten in to game soundtracks and have picked up a couple from the local used CD place. Thanks Dan for fueling my latest addiction.

A Donkey Kong plush (which my 1 year old daughter has laid claim to...to go along with the 3 foot Mario she "stole" from me LOL ).

Something called a Stage Figure from one of the Mario games. I've seen these on ebay and have been meaning to get some...now I just need the others I see listed on the back of the box.

Also got:

Metal Slug: 1st Mission (NGPC)
Pokemon Blue (GB) - Pokemon is a guilty pleasure of mine.
And finally Sonic 2/Sonic Tails for the Game Gear.

Thanks Dan! And Merry Christmas to everyone.

...I'm sure there's more I'm missing, but my entire package was awesome and I feel a while lot better this holiday season...kinda been feeling like shit lately. :(

Thanks Rick Weis, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Glad you liked my package! :) i noticed on your on-line collection page (DUDE, that is one hell of a collection you have!!) that you had 1 import VB game, so i took a chance that you would want the tetris game.

not that i had ever been to an Atari service center back in the days. but if you did and bought something, they put those items in those bags.

i would have liked to got you a NES game also, but with all the NES games you have, i had a hard time figuring out what you did not have. LOL

Merry Christmas!

HYDR0X IS A GOD!

I was absolutely pissed off/frustrated on the 23rd of December, My SS present hadnt arrived just yet and i was starting to think my SS had sent it too late, or not sent at all...
However, early morning on the last possible day to recieve presents... Im woken up by the Door Bell... My dad runs down to answer it as im waking up... Hoping its my SS box, i await my Dad to come back upstairs, however, he didnt for about 5 minutes... So i went back to sleep frustrated, thinking my SS gift hadnt arrived...

Anyways a few mins later, my dad comes into my room, wakes me up and says "There is a Xmas Present here from Germany"
I thought, this could only be one person! Hydr0x!!!
Me and Jan get on particularly well, so i let the parcel lateness slide :-P Especially after i saw what was inside...
It took me a good while to get in considerign his mad parcel sealing methods, which are evil when faced half awake!

My SS was Austin. Austin sent me5 Dreamcast games, none of which I had yet! I guess my online list paid off! :-)

Your collection is pretty impressive! :) I'm glad I was able to find a few you were missing.

My SS was Geelw, and he sent a big box of goodies. :D I got:

-Doom 3
-Making of Doom 3 (cool promo dvd)
-A big bundle of cool schwag, including a fatality t-shirt, an xbox nametag band, a neat clock
-A pile of demos (DDRMax2, Shadow of the Colossus, Psychonauts, Socom II, MTG: Battlegrounds, and two microsoft demo discs)
- The most pimp PS2 controller I've seen, made by Logitech with leather grips... I'm sure Snoop Dogg uses the same controller with his PS2 8-)

The controller was a great surprise, the analog sticks died on mine literally two days ago! And I'll be cracking into Doom 3 once I get home. :) Thanks, geelw!

Actually the game's in English, the box and manual's bi-lingual. Hope you like them and a bi-lingual NES black box game would be an intresting part of your collection!

PapaStu, I hope you're happy with what I sent - to be honest, this was an off-year for me as SS. I really wanted to put more time and thought into the gift but life with the store has really cut into my time! Next time we meet I'll hook you up bigger - consider it a "second gift" to supplement this year's!

My SS was "le geek" and he sent a veritable cornucopia of gaming goodness my way. Game Boy games, PC games, various knick-knacks... it was like opening a Pandora's Box of sweet electronic goodness. THANK YOU muchly for the awesome gifts!

Merry Christmas, all.

My SS didn't put his DP name, but his first name was Bruce, but I'll leave his last name out for privacy. Anyway I got:

Intellivision Lives and Ace Combat 04 both for PS2

Thanks and Merry Christmas Everyone!

Not to steal his thunder (so to speak), but I'm betting it was Zektor.

Hey BigDaddyChester,

I guess I forgot to put my name in the package, so I'll annouce it here! Glad you got some stuff you needed and wanted! It was nice buying for someone that has the same collecting tastes as I do. Ironically, I didn't actually have an Xbox box, but I ended up with 2 of them right after getting your list! I guess it was just meant to be!

Anyway, Have a Merry Christmas and great New Year! Enjoy the gaming!

I'm not exactly sure who my SS was this year, but they sure hooked me up good! I got both Resident Evil 2 and Ghost in the Shell for PS1 but also Yoshi's Island for SNES! Both my PS1 and SNES collections are pretty sad, so these are all great additions! Now if I can just pry Yoshi's Island away from my girlfriend and play it myself, I'll be happy!

Thanks again and let me know who you were!

HUh- I logged on to see if this had started yet- I'll go.

My SS was none other than the one who began the thread: Lady Jaye. In her pkg of gaming goodies:

Mark Ecko's Getting Up "Still Free" T-shirt
1 pair red Nintendo fuzzy dice, still wrapped (suitable for display)
SNES Super Black Bass CIB
DC Omikron: Nomad Soul CIB
PC King Kong: Official Game of the Movie demo disc
handmade card wishing a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Thanks Lady Jaye- you ROCK!!! (& rockin' is half the battle! ;) )

& will there be a "what ELSE I got for Xmas" topic?

I'm glad you're happy about the package! I was worried that you wouldn't receive it on time for Christmas, since I waited a bit much to ship it.

And you're lucky: I almost shipped Omikron without the disk. :embarrassed: I bought the game from my friend Frank, who owns a videogame store, and even though he took out the disk when I bought it, he forgot to include it in the box. Good thing I checked the jewel case before packing...

I don't know whether the King Kong PC demo is in French or in English, but it could make a nice original demo disk for someone in the US. :D

@Aussie2B: yeah, the anime is up my alley alright. :) I haven't listened to the music CDs yet, but that's pretty cool.

DDcecil, glad you liked your stuff.

PDorr3 was my SS and he gave me the phatty hook-up:
(listed in reverse order of awesomeness)

-Nintendo Power Advance - Premiere Issue!!!
-Videocade - Galactic Invasion 2011 (NIB)
-MadCatz - N64 Rumble Pack
-Sonic toys
-Starwars Stortrooper Action Figure (NIB)
-Die Cast Darth Vader Key Chain
-Atari 2600 - Star Raiders (NIB w/controller!!!!!!!!!)
-Coleco/Atari Joystick Pack (NIB)
-Frogger Handheld
-NES - Megaman 5

A few things to say:
-Each individual item was wrapped seperately!!! This was so much fun to open so many gifts.
-How did he know that I liked Star Wars so much?!?
-I have been hunting for Mega Man 5 for a long time. I have had all the other mega man games for a while and just needed this one to complete my mega man mini-collection. The worst part is that I have bought this game once and I also recieved it as a SS present last year. The one that I bought got lost in the mail and the one from last year's SS just up and disappeared so to have this one in my perminent possesion (Hopefully) is a major relief.

Anyway, thanks a lot Peter. You went overboard.

Merry Christmass everone. I already can't wait till next year.

I have to admit I openened mine on accident quite a while ago. I receive 2-3 packages per day every day, every week, so I don't check before I open them :)

man, im glad to see you guys got a bunch of cool stuff this year. seems like a lot of senders really thought out their gifts!!

i dont mean to be cynical, but i was a bit disappointed with my gift. i knew it was one game because i could hear it bouncing around inside the box, and my mind wandered, trying to figure out what game it was! typing this i really feel like im being greedy, but this was less than i had hoped for.

@98PaceCar: it was me!

Sorry for the lack of name on the package... I didn't know I forgot to include a card until after I left the PO @ Henderson... d'oh!

I apologize for the cosmetic condition of the Yoshi's Island cart, but I am glad to hear that everything survived the trip. From my collection to yours, I'm happy to know that you like the games.

As for little ol' me: PapaStu, thanks! He hooked me up with Bomberman Online and DOA2 for the Dreamcast, both complete and mint. Bomberman will see plenty of play time when my mom comes home from vacation. Being home from school for a month leaves plenty of time to get one's ass handed to her at old-school gaming by one's relatives.

Well, thanks to both PapaStu for the awesome DC collection additions and 98PaceCar for informing me that he's happy with the small token of good cheer.

Merry Christmas everyone, and game on.
