This game never really caught my attention until now. It looks great. Can anyone tell me if its a sequal to another game?

Yep, tis a sequel to Bubble Bobble. Looks like I'll be picking up the DS version of this too.

I couldn't find any news on it coming to the US so I ended up importing it from Playasia.
