im just wondering how long it takes everyone on average to get into a wifi match, and how many people you usually get to race against. it takes me sometimes up to 4-5 minutes of searching before i can ever get into a match, and i hardly never get all 3 other people for a 4 person match, its always 1 or 2. is something screwed up, or is this the usual?

2-3 minutes including the dropoffs. My first race is usually 1 maybe 2 racers then I get a full race on my second batch. Check www.nintendowifi.com for router compatibility or call up nintendo, they are very helpful with your router settings. If you are good to go, your opponents might not be. No complaints right? It's a free service! Fun as heck esp yesterday with all those n00bs!

cmon guys, i need some answers, does anyone else experience this frequently? when i test my wifi connection it registers perfectly fine, and i can race against the usual 1 person just fine, i just want to know why it is so hard for my ds to locate enough other players for a 4 person match

If it helps any, I've yet to get a four player match going. Most I've has was three with a lot of 2's thrown in. And yes, some times it does seem to take forever to match up with someone.

Lots of people are having problems, so I'm hearing. It seems the sudden post Xmas present rush may have overloaded Nintendo's servers and they are struggling to cope with the (almost doubled by the looks of it) demand to play the game online now compared to before Xmas.

I was scared about the same thing, until I read somewhere that Nintendo was having server problems...should be fixed soon. On a side note: is there a way to force the start of a race, like when there is only one or two other people?

If the Nintendo servers are having problems, is this why I'm getting error codes of 61020 and 85020 do you think?

I got the wi-fi USB thing, and I can connect, but I keep getting disconnected with those error codes..

I got into the screen where you search for opponents, but noone has ever shown up, and then I get disconnected.

I was going to make a topic about the 61020 and 85020 codes, but if someone answers and helps, I won't have to :D

PS: Sorry for hijacking your thread :embarrassed:

*EDIT* Just got a 61070 error code, and now an 81010 error

Call the 1 800 number on the screen and make nintendo earn their money :D
