i got 300 out of 600 but there alot of games they asked questions to i hadent even played

I got 460/600 on that test. Most of the questions were quite easy, I didn't like the Game Genie code question, and why is the music so annoying? I give the flash quiz a 5/10.

I'm still working on it, but I wanted to address the "which of these games is not pirated" question...the games Donkey Kong, Harry Potter (whatever the subtitle was), and Bio Hazard (Resident Evil) would indeed be legal if:

1.) They didn't use IP without a license (of course in China it's anybody's guess when they'll decide it's important to protect company property)

2.) They didn't reverse-engineer any Famicom hardware patents still valid. There's actually a number. I've no idea if these games would actually be sue-able; even Tengen was operating pretty much in the clear outside from Nintendo's abusive lawsuits and the Rabbit (?) chip nonsense.

Maybe the game's a bit too simple.

"What is the Japanese name for SMB2?"

The answer given is "Doki Doki Panic," but in Japan the actual game was specially released with the US graphics as "SMB2 USA" (or something like that).

There are so many things wrong here that it's not funny. I'm getting lots of answers right to games I haven't played though, some common sense stuff (look for a Castlevania bloody skeleton in a Zelda question)...and I missed the 30-man-code question (put in 15 men, oops), silly me, so I should get that too ;)

Score: 430. Lost too many questions in the second half, and got some obvious ones wrong!

I'm pretty proud about some of the ones I got right. Didn't get any of the "health boxes" quetions right on the first try, but I was getting most all of the crazy ones right. :)

I dont understand how the hell I got it, but I got 530/600! Looking at others posts, I only see one other with a score that high and it was on their 2nd try. I just dont understand how I can either know so much about the NES or be so lucky or both, I never was a nintendo fanboy and while I have had a NES for as long as I can remember, I only got maybe 2 dozen games for it total in my life. I dont know, guess Im just cool like that. 8-)

I have a paltry 7 NES games left from my previous 125 or so. As I kept selling them on eBay I felt my knowledge for the NES depleting with each and every game that got sent out. With only 7 games remaining my knowledge of all things NES has become scant. I don't even feel like talking about it. I need to build my collection back up so I can come back to this board with renewed knowledge and match witty comments with other board members about things like 2 squares, 1 triangle and not being able to acquire the wood cutter weapon in Mega Man.

Well, all licensed NES games were labeled on the box by categories (action, adventure, educational, etc.) I think there were 8 or so categories. Bionic Commando was in the Action category. :-)

I found a mistake in that quiz.

Theres a question about the capacity of NES games..and the correct answer there is 192 kn- 4megabits

but thats WRONG. Kirby´s game for NEs is 6 megabits, and uncharted waters is 5 megabits

BTW I got 400/600
