Hey all.

I'm thinking of building a PC dedicated to emulation, something I can bring to friends houses, get-togethers, etc. I'd like to be able to hook up some SNES controllers to it, perhaps via a custom front panel, but that's a task for another day. Anyways, I've heard that some of the SNES-to-PC cables have problems dealing with simultaneous button presses. For example, pressing the Y and A buttons at the same time might not work correctly (only one button press would be recognized by the emulator.) Has anyone run into this problem? What I'd hope for is an "invisible" setup of sorts, where the only way to tell it was an emulator would be to look at the machine the controller was hooked up to. Is this sort of set up doable?

I have the Super Smart Joy USB adapter. You just plug a SNES pad into it, and it seems to work great. I haven't noticed any problems.

I wouldn't worry about the controller...I have several console>PC controller boxes and they all work fine. I would worry about getting decent SNES emulation.
