It's no suprise to anyone who know me on this forum that i love DOA and i love Team Ninja. However for the last month Itigaki-san has been torturing the fuck out of with weekly delays and amazing advertisements.

But now the suffering has come to an end because DOA4 has an offical ship date and it's Wed. December 28th, 2005. (www.doacentral.com)

I was expecting this game to be amazing but after all the previews, the early GamePro Review (5 out of 5) and the amazing HD footage i'm expecting this thing to be bigger then Jesus.

Of course it's Wed. release also means that we need to have a Meet up and Beat up to truely test out the live play and what better day to do it then this Sunday, New Years Day. There's nothing like waking up with an extreme hangover and Jumping online for some major ass kicking.

Anyone interested in a good fight leave your tag.

Damn, I might have to pick this up...although I'm not a huge fan of fighting games, the DOA games have always had a certain allure to me. And no, it's not the boobies. LOL

Well maybe that's part of it...they are gorgeous. @_@

Here's to hoping it does indeed ship out.

Last I heard from Mr. Dawson, who's writing the Prima guide, that it MAY be next year... But I really hope it's sooner than that.

I got two of the arcade sticks already... me being an arcade stick whore of course...

Ships on the 28th, that means it won't actually arrive in stores until the 29th.

I got an email from Amazon today, saying that my pre-order wouldn't ship until January 3rd. Meanwhile, I've seen various listings putting the release date as pretty much every day between now and then.

ebgames.com said 30th today local ebgames said the 31st. Why have you forsaken us Tecmo?

Can anybody remember a system launch where all the games come out in the first couple of days, and then no more games are released for this long of a period of time?

Kinda weird.

I'm thinking that DOA4 has been delayed over and over for this very reason. They need a game to bridge the gap between the launch games and the second wave.

They say its because they want the online play to be top notch. But thare are some more games coming out late january so it makes sence.

Gamestop computers are listing a ship date of December 30th, which would be an arrival date of Saturday the 31st. However shipments *rarely* occur on Saturdays, so a more reasonable date (if this one finally sticks, and I don't think it will) is probably January 2nd for retail locations.

As a sidenote, the calendars arrived a week ago, so if you're preordered one, make sure you go bother your local retail grunt until he gives you one. They're pretty shitty though - no body shots. Just profile heads.

The game ships on the 29th, not 28th.

Who cares anymore, the important thing is that it's no longer going to be delayed.

I care because I want to have some time to play the game before Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection comes in... I want to see if the game changed enough system wise that it could contend to be a pure competitive fighter... I hope that it is.. .it'd give us another game to play/spectate at EVOLUTION 2006.

And yes, it's good that the delays are done with...
