Do you guys wait after Christmas to post any new auctions? If so, how long do you wait until you start posting auctions again?

I post year round, but I generally try to post a grip of auctions before Christmas. Something about the weeks leading up to Christmas seens bidders into a tizzy and drives up the $$$ they will spend on auctions. I almost would say that after Christmas till mid Jan is about the slowest time to list stuff on eBay, but I still do.

For me, it does not make any difference.

I try to avoid ending them on the 24th, 25th, and 26th. I also avoid New Years Eve and day. I have some ending tonight and they seem to be doing fine.

After people see their $10,000 credit card bills they stop spending!

& you are competing against those cheap $5.00 sales as stores like EBgames clear out their inventory.

I wait 'til November 1 before I resume listing. Might as well wait for the Big Christmas season with $$$$ jumping out of people's wallets. (Anyone remember when video games were sold only at Christmas?)

My problem is taht I have tons of common stuff I want to get rid of. I don't want it sitting around and I am looking into moving across country. I think I'll wait till Mid to late January to start listing. Anyone else have an opinion?

Rather haul games cross country (or store locally with mom & dad) than lose a few hundred dollars in slow sales - but that's just me.

Some say the week between Christmas & Jan 1 is good 'cause of Gift Cards & Grandma's Money needing to be spent by the teens. (Unfortuantely you missed it.) January/February are the slowest months in retail. I avoid them like the plague. Have some "did not sell" auctions that I am purposefully waiting until March 1 to relist.

Does Ebay have any free listing days soon?
You could save 25 cents * 100 game = $25.00 saved.

Keep in mind that for every person with a big credit card bill there's another person who received money for Christmas that they're ready to spend. It's a pretty good time to sell as far as I'm concerned.

Dec. 26 was a 10-cent listing day! D'oh! You must've missed it. :embarrassed:

Nope knew about it- but don't think 15 cents is much of a bargain. Any FREE listing days?
