From what a topic around here is telling me, Game Crazy is taking PS3 preorders right now.

I already have five PS3's preordered at FYE stores in the area.

Believe it or not, EB told me they will not longer be taking preorders for hardware of any kind, only games. Can anyone confirm this?

Well, they'll all be becoming Gamestops before any more hardware launches so it's not too suprising.

I work there and havn't heard of this. Anyways gamestop takes pre-orders so thats just foolish.

I'll reconfrim this though at a later date. I doubt its true though.

That's just what the fat guy behind the counter told me when I went in to ask about PS3 preorders, but he may have also just been trying to get rid of me.

I was asking about them when he had a line of 15 loud people in there buying games the week before xmas.

HELLO THERE. IF THE PS3 HAS A LAUNCH LIKE THE 360 A PREORDER THIS EARLY MIGHT NOT ASSURE YOU'LL GET A UNIT FROM THE FIRST SHIPMENT. IT PROBABLY WOULD BE BEST TO WAIT UNTIL THE PRICE IS ANNOUNCED SO YOU KNOW HOW MANY EXTRA MORTGAGES TO TAKE OUT, AND THEN CAMP IN LINE TO MAKE SURE NOBODY TAKES YOURS. HOPE THIS HELPS.

EB told me it would likely be several months before they take PS3 preorders. The guys there seemed to hold the common belief that we will not see a PS3 until late next year. Game Crazy is simply desperate for any business they can get.

I think we'll see Revolution preorders available much at least a couple months sooner though...we'll see...
