Good to see you own this and all, but you seem a little big-headed on the fact that you have one.

Yeah, you're being too big headed about it. x_x

I would be too, if I had something rare, that's the whole point of having something rare so you can brag about it to other nerd gamers.

XRBG2+PCE does that all ready ;)

Enjoy your find, Adol. It is, indeed, rare. I would taunt it as well. I've only seen one other one, and it didn't seem to be completely or nicely wrapped like this. Great find. I think only the Power Console could compare to this.

Damn,i wish i'd have this Power Console, but the only time i saw it was 3-4 years ago, and the seller asked 3 MILLIONS Yens ( yes 3 millions!)...:(

I don't see the point with XRGB2+PCE,how can it be compared to that?

It's the same thing isn't it? Let's you hook your pce to your pc?

This is a MODEM for PC Engine, letting you connect via telephone line to bank systems,or games..

Wow! That's the first time I've actually got to see pictures of the modem software "in action". Thanks for the pics!

I've never heard of this...thought I'd seen it all, heh heh.

Congrats, Adol. If you get a chance, dump the modem rom to preserve it.

Oh, and definitely brag about it...what good is DP if not to express joy over great finds?

Actually, this "found" is 4 years old..i have it for 4 years now,but didn't made pictures of it :)
Next thing for PC Engine market to find is:
1) Power Console
2) Strider SGX proto :)

Strider SGX proto

I know this could go way off topic, but is there any evidence that this even exists? I thought the programmer commited suicide during the creation and the EGM pics were actually arcade snapshots. Or at least, that's the rumors I heard. Like Airworld, wasn't it only like 20% done?

Oh, and just what is the power console?

From what I understood the "suicide" was a rumor; rather somebody decided the market didn't need the game...after all there already is a CD-ROM strider for the PC-Engine. You never really can have too much Strider...or can you? It would've been fun to see, however.

I see the power console or the Tsuushin Booster aren't listed in the DP database...I do see the Backup/Print/Illus Boosters listed, as well as the TurboBooster + Plus.

Rbudrick, you're right, there's nothing proving it exists or ever existed, but i can still dream about it :)

For the Power Console,i know it exists, since somebody was auctionning it in japan many years ago (asking 3 millions yen, around $30000)

If anyone's wondering what a Power Console is:

http://assembler.roarvgm.com/Supergrafx/superconsole1.jpg

It would have mounted on top of the SGrafx. Pretty cool contraption, I'd love to see what they'd have done with it. Asfaik, there is only the one proto in existence?

No idea how many were produced,so no idea still remains..i just remember a japanese guy selling it on auction 4 years ago...

I could say too there is only ONE Tsuushin booster in existence, since nobody except me showed pics, but that'd be exagerated,i think :)

I assume the 'Backup Booster' is one of those Tenekoe Bank[sp] jobbies? As for the Print/Illus Boosters, did they work with the PCE printer? Any further info, please?

@Adol - So, you have a complete functioning Tsuushin Booster set-up. What exactly can you do withit? Can you do any of the dev stuff? I'm assuming there's no online functions available as the network no longer/never exists.

There's more info on the wonders of the Tsuushin Booster here (http://disgruntleddesigner.com/chrisc/secrets5.html).

Oh, and that PowerConsole looks like a properly made unit, as opposed to a proto mock-up. They obviously aren't going to make moulds just to produce the one PC........ Good luck with the hunt.

I remember that one. :)

As for SGX Strider -- I'm one of the ones that believes not only do they not exist, but also that it never got out of the planning phases, if that. That's just me though.

Well i do have a picture of the Power Console MANUAL,which means it was beyond "prototype"stage, otherwise why producing a manual?
