I don't know....seems totally screwed up to destroy ANY gaming system no matter how good or bad it is. I'm personally not interested in portable systems anymore (have my Game Gear, a Game Boy Color for when I was still searching for a Game Gear, and a Game Boy Advance for Animal Crossing) but I won't say that the PSP is garbage. Both it and the DS have their good points and hammering either one to tiny tiny bits is just....wrong!

Probably because we live in a country where fucking idiots with money can easily throw away $250. Meanwhile people starve and go homeless. This kind of shit makes me angry to the core. I grew up on welfare; something like a PSP would have been a king’s ransom to my family. Here some moron is destroying it for fun.

This isn’t an issue of “DS rules!” or “Fuck Sony!...Take that!!!”. Sony got paid so to me they got what they wanted. It’s called a blatant waste of money. They got an extra $250 to throw around? They should film themselves purchasing a few new coats for some poor kids.

Im not a detective or anything but i would guess that this video is from mexico or another spanish speaking country... so to claim we live in a country of fucking idiots when its not even our country is kinda presumptuous... But maybe you live in the country this video came from... then you are alright to preach whatever about the idiots in your country!

I watched it with the sound off. If they're speaking Spanish then possibly it's from another country, who knows. It's not like this is an isolated event though, this is becoming a trend on the web and to me its ridiculous. Flat fact, it is wasteful and disgusting.

No matter what country they are from, it's still a waste of money. Though there is the possibility that it was a defective unit that could not be returned or sold for profit.

Well, it was their unit. Sad to say it, but they enjoyed it.

I know it's crazy to do such a thing, but it doesn't bother me that much. People throw away videogames every day. Not like i can stop it, although i can do my best.

Don't think of me the wrong way. I am a PSP owner. A PSP owner that likes hi's PSP.

There are sites - I'm not even going to link them as they don't need exposure - that smashed a 360, right outside the store (!), that will be smashing a Rev and PS3 as well.

Personally, these people should be hauled off to court - the companies that make those systems are taking a loss on each console sold (in the case of the 360 and likely the PS3 we already know it's a huge one), so this also hurts the economy.

What ASSHOLES.

In some way they are making more money off of it than they are losing.

And here i thought it was some pathetic display of showing why they dislike consumerism and captalism....like something from "Fight Club" but more lame.

Buying something then just trashing it seems wasteful and if your point was to speak out against being wasteful then what is the point?

But hey, if you wanna pretend to be a "rebel" by throwing away your money and trashing something...thats fine with me.

HAHAHAA
@ CMTZ, Smokehouse, While I didn't grow up on food stamps, I did grow up in a house where my dad had to work 80 hours a week @ about 7 an hour, trying to keep up with the house payment, the truck payment, mother's illness, etc. I grew up on stuff from goodwill, clipping coupons, etc.
So, I didn't quite have it as bad I guess, so maybe i'm not seeing it the same.
But I sure laughed at this a hell of a lot harder than i would at a video of people buying kids coats.

And I actually LIKE psp. Smashing stuff is cool.
that being said, I can't say this was any funnier than if they'd smashed an old printer office space style, or a broken toaster oven, or any random crap you can find at a local junqueyard.

However, I don't share the same view that people with "too much money" are obligated to give it to the poor if they're merely going to "Waste" it. We all buy video games here; it's theoretically "Wasteful". WE could ALL be feeding the so-called poor. We live in a disposable, "Wasteful" society; 90% of products on the market are "Wasteful". Toys, games, sporting goods, do we need any of it? No.
But what fun is feeding someone else's kids?
Call me selfish if you want, that's just how I view the situation.

You know I was going to come up with some well thought out reply to this but I imagine I’d just be wasting my time. You find stupidity funny? Good for you. You think that wasting money is humorous and our God given right? Again, good for you.

I for one believe that what goes around comes around. The man throwing away $1000 today may be the one asking for $.50 tomorrow. I guess I just view things differently, having no electricity every spring because the power company shuts you off and having to go to churches for food handouts will tend to color one’s point of view.

I’m not trying to generate sympathy, this is where I came from and I’m simply explaining why I feel the way I do.

Still seems rather ignorant as wheverever they bought the machine from still got thier money, the company who made it still got thier money and all those assholes got was a few minutes of shits and giggles.

Why the hell should they be sued for this? They purchased the machine for its full retail price, a price set by the manufacturer. A retail store was paid for this, made money, and I am sure some sales tax was also paid. The economy was not hurt by this.

If you want, I can run to the pawn shop, pick up a $15 printer and microwave and see how they mix. I'll even video tape it and post it someplace. A bunch of friends and myself have thought about doing that for quite sometime after seeing Rick & Rak. If you never heard of them, by far this is one of their best vidoes:

Most average folks who buy and sell stocks to supplement their income would hold no more than a few thousand dollars (at the most) in any stock. Probably most people do like my dad, less than $1000 in most any stock.

BOOM, 1/4 of your investment is gone because of some jackasses.

Sure, it's all spread around, but you can make the case that those kids set back your investment into the company by 1/4.
