View Full Version : Messiah SNES wireless controller Problem...

Does anyone know if for some reason that the up button is supposed to also be mapped to the left shoulder button? I didn't notice this problem when we first bought the set like last year, but then we were playing games like Super Mario World which I don't even think use the shoulder buttons.

Lately though I've tried playing both Lufia 2 and Dragon View. Whenever I move the character up in Lufia, Maxim shoots an arrow before moving. Which is only annoying, but playable.

In Dragon View whenever I try and move up, it brings up a map view instead. Which is unplayable if you don't want to spend your time running around backwards.

If this normal, or should I contact Messiah about a defective product?

I've never seen that. I would check with Messiah to see if they will replace it for you (for the cost of shipping).

It always helps to kiss a little ass and feed their ego. EXAMPLE: "I really love all of your products and look foward to your new releases. I am considering buying an NEX and can't wait to play it! Frankly, I was suprised I had any trouble since I have never heard anything bad about them!"

That should work, even if it out of warranty...just be nice :)

That is unusual. SMW does use the shoulder buttons for screen scrolling, so if it had the problem before, you would hve seen screen scrolling left to right.

Make sure your wireless channels are set correctly, and reset the controller, making sure autofire is off. Also, test with a real SNES controller to ensure the problem is at the controller, and not with the SNES. It's rare, but I've seen SNES controller inpiut faults at the console level too.

Good Luck!

The controller I got with the NEX is defective I believe, when I press down on the directional pad it goes down and right most of the time.
