Okay, so some dude with 0 feedback buys 2 of the games that I have on ebay. After a few days go by I start to become suspicious as I did not hear from him. So I sent him an email asking him about the payment.

Here is his classic response:

"Actually my mom wouldnt let me get it because it was too much so she let me get something else sorry for the trouble"

Sigh. Can we just shoot these people? LOL

65 bucks.

Now i gotta wait a few more days before I file the NPB claim, and then wait another 7 days for it to close before I can relist the item. Fun times.

Could be never. Even if they find in your favor there has to be money in the persons account to refund you.

You mean if the seller does not send the item?

I thought Paypal makes a ruling within 10 days after the seller responds to your complaint.

This is why there are rules against people under the age of 18 having ebay accounts.

Ye, bought some stuff, didnt recive it. I think the seller have 10 days to reply, then they handle the case. But now its been nearly 1 month, no refund yet :\

Ah, but if the paypal is tied to a checking or other account they will freeze the account until payment is made. I totally f'ed a seller who tried to screw me that way.

I got like $400 of the 600 back and they locked the account. Her rent and car payment bounced and she sent back threatening e-mails. It was amusing after she tried to screw me.

I never did get the other $200 back, but I kept the stuff too.

Not necessarily. If you have been a member for at least 2 years they give you a "customer courtesy" and put the funds in your account. This only happens once though.

Sorta reminds me of this story from Acts of Gord (http://www.actsofgord.com/Chronicles/chapter02.html)

I like to sell using Fixed Price Buy it now's, some noob used the BIN on my copy of Double Dragon, but on the same day, had bid on someone elses and won it for a dollar less, and their email was this

"somehow showed up on My Ebay list, can you please remove my name from your auction"

uhh... NO!

I also wonder why when I do Fixed Price BIN I get so many people watching the auctions. Either you want it or you don't. Though I guess some people may lower their prices later in the week to get rid of stuff.

Sold one game, and an hour later I had an email from a guy "I just got home noticed your auction for this game had ended, can I buy it from you, how much would you want for it"

OK,
1. It had to be on his watchlist
2. He just didn't understand that someone had already bought it, so he couldn't buy it off of me.
3. The BIN now price was THE price i wanted for it.
4. I actually think the guy thought he had to wait a whole week to bid on it!!!

"OK,
1. It had to be on his watchlist "

.. not necessarily. Not everyone uses the watchlist feature and there are many other ways to keep an eye on an auction. I use a watchlist, but if the auction is either close to ending or very important to me.. I simply put a shortcut to it on my desktop where it will be in plain sight. Of course, that makes for a cluttered desktop and occasionally I STILL miss an auction that expires. I have been known to message a seller who had put his item up, expired and got no bids.. to ask them to put it up again. They usually do and I BIN the next time around.

As for using BIN the moment one spots an item.. most people (like me) live from paycheck to paycheck. I may NOT have the money for your item NOW; but I may at the end of the BIN auction. My purchases are dictated weekly by how many bills I have, and what I have left over for "mad money".
