Do all EA games have long load times?

I just picked up BURNOUT REVENGE for the PS2. The load times for this game (even just to retry an event)are horrible. My only other EA PS2 game is NHL 2002 and that had long times hidden with cut scenes before faceoffs,etc... I played the BOND game, FIFA, FIGHT NIGHT, DEF JAM and their load times weren't so fast either. All I want is fast load time for the BURNOUT crash mode, like the old BURNOUT 2. I spend more time watching a load screen than actually playing. I can't believe most of mag reviews were really positive. But it's still a fun game when the game allows me to play. Thank you for my rambling rant.

Played through it on the Xbox and found them accpetable. Must just be the PS2 versions.

Burnout 2 on Gamecube (which wasn't an EA game) also had pretty long load times for the crash mode. Didn't make the game unfun. Don't know why a fun game would get a negative review just because the load times for crash mode are a bit long :)

I have noticed this same phenomenon. EA simply doesn't care about speeding up load times. Yet another reason to boycott them.

That's a general rule of thumb isn't it? Seems that every head to head comparision goes like this.

Xbox - 10-11 Secs.
GC - Slightly more maybe 4-5
PS2 - 40 second inital Load and then usally twice as much as the Xbox on level loads.

All the more reason to install a Hard Drive in your PS2 and use HDLoader :)

I do believe you have much shorter load times on the cartridge EA games. :)
