Anyone else snapping up the clearance PS2 games at Best Buy? Today I got HSX Racing, Savage Skies, and Road Trip for ten bucks each. Hell, I'll buy ANY PS2 game for ten bucks!

If you're a sucker for $10 games, I hope you've picked up Seek and Destroy at EBgames.com, and they probably also have Gun Griffon Blaze and Silpheed for $10 as well. Great values, and really good games to boot.

Damn it! I need Mad Maestro, Mr. Mosquito, and Road Trip, and I KNOW that those are clearance for $10 somewhere! Anyone??? *goes to post in the Buying and selling forum*

Yeah, HSX was a pretty weak ripoff of other future-racing games. Road Trip and Savage Skies are both good though.

Dang, I didn't see Savage Skies or Road Trip, not to mention that I can't find Mr Mosquito at that range (actually, I just don't see it anywhere any more).
I did find Seek & Destroy at least. Might be able to find more? Otherwise I might like SS & RT...

They were both $19.99 at Circuit City. Most of them still have Mad Maestro if anyone is still looking for it.

as already mentioned HSX was released new for $9.99. I believe Seek & Destroy was too. I've only seen Seek & Destroy at Circuit City. HSX I've seen at CC, EB Games and Media Play all for $9.99. I think it just came out the end of January.
Are new $9.99 PS2 games finally going to spell the end of the PS1? I keep hearing the PS1 is near done but then I come across more new games for it like Beyblade, Street Raquetball and Gekioh Shooting King. Or are these not all that new?
What about the other consoles? Any hopes of new budget titles. I don't recall ever seeing Home Run King for Gamecube before Best Buy had it for $9.99.

Gekioh Shooting King is a U.S. release of the 1999 JP PSX port of the venerable 1997 JP Saturn game Shienryu. Don't know about the others. There are still plenty of older Japanese games for PSX left that I'd like to see get an initial U.S. release at $9.99!

Don't assume this... Seek and Destroy really is great!! I want to get Savage Skies and especially Road Trip, those also look very good...just haven't found those yet :/ Cheap doesn't always mean bad, a good number of the $10 PSX games are actually good fun as well!!
I need to go check for the other games soon...

Actually, Home Run King came out in April of 2002, when I bought it. The best aspect of it, to me, is the home run derby.

Then you're just wrong, I've got much more enjoyment out of Seek and Destroy then DOA volleyball or The Gateway. For $10 its worth every penny.

I bought Home Run King when it was $20, at EB a few months ago...wasn't impressed. Not enough of an upgrade from WSB2K2 for Dreamcast for my tastes...sold it last month for $5...

The new Hollywood Video game store is worth checking out.
I got Max Payne X box for $10, Spy Hunter PS2 for $10 and Sonic Ltd Ed CD only for $4.
I also picked up Mr. Mosquito for $8 at EB.
I'm trying not to pick up too much PS2 or whatever just coz it's cheap. I really only want to get the games that I'll play, unlike classic systems, where I'll gobble it up for no good reason.
