Would you say that the majority of the carts are in average or below average condition?

OR

Would you say that the majority are in collector grade condtion, with a few exceptions?

Need to know in order to make a bidding decision.

all the labels are good, your normal little dents and dings, some yellowing, some in VG condition, other are noted above as to missing a label or some heavy damage.

only $150 from the above posts. I perfer incerments of at least $5. (exlucding the bad labels DP guide should put these at $400+(thats a guess))

No snide comments necessary guys.

I asked what the high bid was, and you told me $150. You also said that the auction would end at 9:00.

At 9:00, I was the high bidder, but another bid followed after 9 pm - hence, my question about the end time. I completely understand that this is about cash, nothing more.

I would have paid had I won, but I could honestly care less - just another $150 I don't have to shell out at the moment.

The only reason I am replying at all is because I don't want there to be any misunderstandings.

Good luck.

orrimarrko, As a general rule, you don't snipe message board auctions. This isn't ebay. There are common courtesy rules here. End times are relative and/or selective, and can be modified if necessary.

Your bid came in on 9:00 PM CST exactly, which looks like you were waiting to bid so that the other party couldn't respond in time. This is opinion, and has no bearing whatsoever, just pointing it out. Typically thou, there's a 5 min rule, which applies to message boards, where even thou the "time" has expired, you will continue on until no more bids take place for 5 minutes.

If neschampion had of waited 2 hours to respond to say he's upping the bid, then no, I'd say it's too late, and good luck next time. But he was here waiting to make sure he won them, you bid exactly 9PM, he bid 9:01PM Had your first bid have come 20 minutes earlier then this would have all played out before the 9 CST thing.

Again these are just my opinions and experience with message board auctions. They sometimes are hard to understand and follow, but if you try to keep everything friendly, and consider the other bidders, then it's easier, and less complicated.

No one is trying to belittle you here. But do realize you waited until the last possible second to bid, if the shoe was on the other foot, you would want the same generosity or fairness if you will, to place a final bid.

Thanks for the tips - and while I do appreciate your advice and opinions, I had no intention of "sniping". I completely understand the theory of common courtesy.

Just for the record (not sure that it matters at this point, but anyway) - I had been eyeballing this auction for a few days. However, I was waiting to see if I was going to win some ebay auctions or not before I decided to make a bid on Chunky's game lot.

When I didn't win the auctions on eBay, it was about 8 pm CST. I asked what the current high bid was, and what the general condition of the carts were.

Chunky replied at 8:10 CST. I was away from the computer becuase my wife was using it for something else. When I finally kicked her off any got back on, it was 9:00 CST - much to my dismay.

I can assure you that the timing was purely coincidental, and that there was no "sniping" involved - I actually hate that when it happens to me.

Anyway, just the facts...
