Gameboy Printer Pokemon Edition

I just picked up a Gameboy Printer Pokemon Edition for $40 from a friend. Is this an average price for this, or did I get ripped? I guess what im asking is what do these usually go for, and how rare are they?

it's not rare at all in Japan..
you can pick up barnd new one for around 1500 yen...

not sure for othr market though...
I had more touble to find the paper roll though when I had mine..

Dont worry you didnt get ripped $40 is a great price. dj898 is correct, they are pretty easy to find in japan if you know where to look but outside of japan they are pretty uncommon.

They sometimes pop up on ebay. The paper is a pain to find nowdays probably even harder than the printer, there used to be a seller on ebay that sold complete factory cases of the japanese gameboy printer paper.

They cost £13 for a box of 20 rolls, me & a friend bough a box of different colours then swapped half so we had 10 of each. Funny thing is i cant bear to open them & use them so they sit there waiting for a rainy day when i get really bored with my gb camera.
